    Hey everyone.

Im on the comp trying to do this dissertation. I need to pay £296 or so just to hand it in! If i dont give money by october im out (there is a major part of me that doesnt want to do it just to get out of doing this thing!) I really am crap at self motivation and i think half of the problem is that i have no clue what im doing... i picked a subject at random and im not sure what direction im meant to go in, and im half embarassed to tell my lecturer this because ive done jack all for a loong time.

Vix - stick it out - even if you're not sure what you should be doing - if you want some help send me a pm and I'll see if I can help get you started in some way.

I started a degree course and halfway through hated it so much I wanted to jack it in - but I persevered after spending 2 weeks going backwards and forwards to the principal's office and the lecturers office. I'm glad I finished it despite everything.

Thanks for the support guys. I have to say, I've had a couple of really good laughs in the past few days. Yesterday was a really trying day with DS - he wet himself 6 times. One of those occasions was outside a friends house when he announced he needed to pee, then just spread his legs and let go exclaiming how it was going along the path like a worm - I was in fits.

Today I had two gems. DS had dry sugar puffs for cereal (leftover from staying at the friend's house. ) He must have jumped cos he came out to me in the kitchen with sugar puffs sticking to him from head to toe looking like he had the plague - it was hilarious. We'd great fun hoovering them off him.

Then a couple of friends called over and we spent most of the night chatting. They've only just left but before we left we were discussing how much of an ar*e my ex is.... I said, he's always been a bit of an ar*e, it's just got bigger since he put on weight - cue massive fit of the giggles (you did have to be there though)

  • delly you are a naughty girl. make sure you are being all mse and get rechargeable batteries for it.

Hamish is fab name for a cairn. I love all the highland terriers - cairns, westies and scotties, also borders. They've got so much attitude. They always remind of those sorts of kids who when you say 'don't touch that' just HAVE to brush a finger across it.

Oh Delly you are awful (in best !!!!!! Emmery voice!) but I like you! Hehehe.

Reminded me of my brother's ex! She thought that her favourite singer was Dildo (Dido!) and that Chelsea Dagger was sung by the Four Tellys (Fratellis!). Give me strength!!
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!

    Morning all

Just popping my head in to say hi, sorry I'm not posting more at the moment but I'm enjoying Deli's black humour. :)

My good intentions to dust off my bike at the weekend came to nothing as I wasn't feeling very well - maybe next weekend!

    Weigh in tonight, fingers crossed.

    Catch you later,

  • Glad to see you've bought yourself some nice pink lipstick delly: a girl must always keep making an effort:D .
Had a lousy night last night - was dreaming I felt so poorly I could barely move. And guess what haha, I am so stiff this morning and for the first time I'm getting twinges in my right hip( joining in with every other place you could mention) so got a bit of a limp this morning:mad: .
Have decided to set myself a challenge and see if I can get through a week with out swearing (outloud):D . Got myself a swearbox. Not that I'm a permanant effing this and that I hasten to add but I'd like to prove myself I do it for pleasure not as a default setting:rotfl: .

Back on topic, weighed in this morning and to my astonishment I have sts thanks LOIS. Must be doing something rightish, although technically I'm still trying to lose 4 more lbs.
Cathy - good news you're enjoying the exercise - I think ultimately that the best weight loss route if you can do it and enjoy it. Gpuk - well done - sometimes losses and gains can be unfathomable but you must be doing something right. Just keep focussed now:D
Bad luck with the ebaying Victory. You don't seem to have much luck.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

    Hey peeps, how's everyone feeling?

Well done Marion another excellent loss! (When's your next trip?) Congrats GPUK but grrr at you doing it without even trying... hahaha!

Hope you're OK Suggs. Covering for a blood injury? Hope the person concerned is alright, sounds nasty.

Hi BB yes it makes a big change to actually get some better results for all the effort for a change! As for the discipline, well you must have been showing plenty of that yourself by selling cakes and not eating any on Sunday!!! Dare I ask if the ebay photo session happened yesterday...? Sorry to hear you've woken up NQR today but good news on the weigh in!

Lesley care to share some details of your workout programme from the gym? I love hearing what everyone's up to exercise wise. In case I forget later, have a wonderful holiday!

How are things going Granny? I hope the book FFM suggested will help. For me, something that helps is planning ahead and equally spacing meals during the day. If I'm hungry I remind myself it's only x hours until the next meal, and then make an effort to focus on whatever else it is I'm doing until then. Since you seem to lapse a little bit on (say) Day 4, what about planning to have a few extras up to a certain limit every 4th or 5th day, but you only get them if you've stuck to plan up until then? Or something along those lines?

Everything's fine here, big lunch planned today (846 cals of my daily allowance of 1200!) so the rest of the day's food is stingy as anything, but it's worth it! Wii fit exercise is going well daily, and I've been to the library to get some running and triathlon books so that I can start preparing for my next fitness drive when I'm fully recovered. If I can't do the exercise I might as well read up some more on it for when I can!

Im fine thanks Missy, lot on my plate at the moment with work and things, so not able to have the levels of input I would prefer. Covering for a blood injury in rugby is just that. If a player gets cut, in this case a bloody nose and you cannot stop the bleeding, then the player can leave the field for 10 mins with another player coming onto the pitch to provide cover. Which is what I did :) Doesnt happen often and they do tend to be for nose or head bleeds.

Trust your doing good? Whats for lunch if its so big? 846 cals, sounds like a normal dinner for me ;) Hows the scar coming along?

Right back to work for me.

Lois - I'm from Northern Ireland - the only kind of humour over here is black humour. I've had so many belly laughs in the past 2 days I'm wondering if I'm borderline hysterical still! Besides, I have to make fun of something, so why not this!

KPC - rechargeable batteries? I'm going to need a flipping generator and a pullcord starter:p ! breakup scrabble is the best - but it leaves you wanting more.:rotfl: Might actually start being a loose floozy and breaking up with people just for the good scrabble at the end - nah, probably not worth the hassle!

tagz - what can I say?? The woman might not be a natural blonde but there's definitley blonde roots there don't you think?

bb - sorry to hear you're unwell at the minute. Good luck with the swearbox. If I had one, DS and I would have no money left at all.

Hope everyone's wi goes well. Be back later.
