Hi folks,
Just had another talk with OH and I feel like banging my head off a brick wall...it's impossible to get him to talk to me without putting his back up.
He's been emotionally detached for a long time and it's difficult to get him to re-connect. I'm at a loss for what to do. I've been holding off making an appointment with Relate as i suspected they've been closed over the bank holiday but I'm going to ask OH to make an appointment for us tomorrow.
Don't know what else to say, just off to bed to try and get some sleep.
Have a good day tomorrow folks,

woooo fitorbust! go you. Glad to see Bails around and feeling better too.
Delly, I'll be thinking of you. I had a wobble in my relationship a bit back, and the support on here really helped. you were definitely wise to go to friends and not family, my mum found it very hard to forgive oh and things were strained between them for a while.
I'll be having a terrifying wi this week as I've just eaten altogether too much, and most of it was cheese. Had a lovely weekend and finding it hard to think about work this week. thanks for the commiserations btw.0 -

Decking is coming on, ground levelled, frame built, boards on with the help of my son on Saturday, yesterday evening I put on the support rail and deck rail. Only the balusters to go. Then we can stain it. Al going well except my upper thighs are murder! all that bending over drilling holes and screwing screws

Feeling a bit ashamed of myself for eating too much at the birthday thing yesterday and not been great today either
I was happy to have a few extras but it went a bit far unfortunately. That type of 'unplanned' splurging doesn't happen often with me, so I'll take it as a rare blip. Back on track as of right now.
Victory, STS is amazing over a 4 week hol, well done. What was your strategy? Glad you had a great time
Well done Raph on the loss and being into the next stone!
Lesley I hope you and OH enjoy your purchase to the max! Lovely to read your cheerful post!
Hi Marion, welcome back from your travels once again! Have you got the next trip lined up yet?!So glad you're able to enjoy your retirement in this way, it sounds fab!
Beanie do you have any plans for your b'day tomorrow?
Hey Suggs you DIY expert! Well done on the deck project. Hope you've done before and after photos?
Been at the hospy this morning having the pre-op tests. Only took a few minutes but the whole thing took much longer because son and I had a very long walk to avoid the hospy parking charges :rotfl: Now been told no heavy lifting for 6 weeks afterwards, not 4, so the weight training will be on hold a little longer
Hope everyone's having a nice day0 -
You had better watch it vix:rotfl:
:rotfl:
Have a great last day being 45 beanie:D . I think 50 is the new 40 meself:rotfl: . Are your kids telling you to have a lie in tomorrow while they do all the washing and cooking for the day as a birthday pressie?:rotfl:
Ooh, suggs, flutter flutter, 21 it is. Tell me more about this endless drilling and screwing?
Delly, I hope you get an appointment soon and there isn't some ghastly waiting list. It must be so hard the emotional rollercoater at the mo:grouphug:
Was that FP hosp missy?
Having had a fabulou day yesterday, tonsils are playing the maracas in my throat today and I'm in bed a right poorly peep. Just been reading through the remoska thread from the beginning in exciting anticiaption of my [STRIKE]new toy [/STRIKE]essential money saving gadget arriving.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Hey Suggs you DIY expert! Well done on the deck project. Hope you've done before and after photos?
Well revision is tough work, I cant focus today!Missy Im no DIY expert, I had help with the doors and window, the decking is my own pet project so, I just follow the instructions, I didnt take a before pic, nor did I take one of the grass removed, ground levelled, weed membrane down and gravel down. But took one After laying the deck and will take one later with the rails in place, followed by the balusters (all 35 of them). As for your unplanned eating, its no big deal is it? sometimes these things happen and taste better for it. as we are trying to maintain I guess these little accidents will happen
But if you want a bitey boot Im sure someone can sort it for you
Now been told no heavy lifting for 6 weeks afterwards, not 4
Ok then I will leave it zipped up thenlol :rotfl:

BB each board (20) is held down with 12 screws all drilled by me, plus the frame( 8 boards) 2 in each end, plus the posts which needed even bigger drill bits! and bolting. Son helped with the screwing of the top boards and bolts. I also had to measure, saw to length fit, screw and level the rails last night. Evidently the view of my backside wasnt too bad for some people to handle! lol
Happy Birthday for tomorrow Beanie xxProud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

Good to have you back marion. Sounds like you had an excellent time and that 7lbs will go with your customary focus:T .
Thanks BB - I will do my best!
Regarding your earlier post - I have a remoska and love it to bits. I rarely put on my big oven now as the Remoska manages to do everything we want! Actually between that and my new pressure cooker I think I will spend less on gas and electricity than I did last year! Or at lease keep it the same cost due to all the price increases:mad:

Thanks Missy, I know we are lucky and - Yes we have booked up another trip at the very end of October into November. Going to Mechelen in Belgium which is a lovely little town with an excellent market. I am hoping to do a bit of Xmas shopping there and will also have a day in Antwerp at the market there. That should be it for this year! That goodness for Clubcard Deals as thats how we pay for most of our breaks - although they are getting more difficult to book. For instance Eurostar will no longer be available through clubcard deals and Cresta Holidays was also a big loss to out holiday planning:mad:!

Hey all,
Me and C were talking last night and we've decided to take the plunge and get engaged!
We've decided to go away for a special weekend and propose to each other around her birthday in October. As we both want a ring and both know we're getting engaged it won't be a surprise, but we want to make it special.
We've told people in our works, but family won't know until it's 'official' in October cos we don't want to shock them lol
She's already seen a ring she wants, and we're going into town on Saturday to pick one out for me.
It seems like we are rushing into it, but we are both so sure and we feel like we've known each other ages, even thou it's been two weeks!
