  • Has anyone had the pork medallions, are they in some sort of sauce?

I agree, bought the dine for £10, got OH to queue at checkout, wandered round,, staff on every aisle reducing normal produce. Got Chicken with brown sugar and honey glaze reduced to £3 from £7..., loads of other non £10 deals reduced. This was just after lunch on a Saturday....

I noticed this too last time I went... I'd never seen M&S reduce their near-its-sell-by food before, thought it was below them :) I had a pizza reduced from £5.49 (£5.49!!!) to £3 and it was DELICIOUS

My favourite, you get pork medallions and a bag of organic cider and bramley apple sauce with double cream to finish it off.

Yep, they started to reduce nearly out of date stuff just a couple of months back. Its part of their Plan A to reduce waste as this way more of it gets sold. Previously it was reduced and sold to staff at the end of the night.
  • For those worried about the Chickens, the deal includes the larges ones. Not sure how they are going to display them though. So if there are none on the ends check the main display. As for the actual offer it is running from Thurs to Sat, with some slight changes. The offer will work Sunday but will not be advertised . There are also between 12-20 additional lines of each course in the food hall to be put into the deal if a store sells out of anything. So if a store employee says the have sold out of a course ask them to check there paperwork. You will be surprised whats in the deal but these will only be added if everything in a course sells out. As always though the deal is limited by what the store has been delivered. If you want the best deal shop early. One other thing the thursday promo on wines may stack and give insane discounts. 10% discount on 6 bottles of wine and additional 20% of wines and then the meal deal savings. Depending on how many meals you buy the reductions could be incredible.

Most stores will discount products up to half price after 4pm (changes by the store opening hours on the day something goes out of life. Not everything is reduced though, it is only what the store feels it can not sell by the end of the day. Unlike some retailers that reduce again late in the day. The discount is done once and thats it. As many have said its part of Plan A to reduce what food is thrown away, along side changes to the amount of packaging that's used, what the packaging is made of, the carrier bag charging and loads of other schemes under the plan A banner. It's all on the M&S webite if anyone whats to check.
