Nearly all sold out at Cambridge, girl was putting out more chickens, got one value £7.29, very little veg, but noticed Pizza and Strawberry Compote (trifle) included. Also picked up Oakham Chicken with the syrup/sugar coating reduce to £3 from £7.68. Loads of reduced items throughout store.

I'm heading in tomorrow to see what I can get, be my third time getting the deal and have my £5 voucher to use too

Got a really big chicken last time which was brilliant but not sure I can be bothered with the chicken again this time, might get something easier to make if they have it.

Sent DH into M&S with a list yesterday.... he stood bermused at the pandemonium (sp) around the shelves all of a sudden a staff member appeared and said "ladies and gentlemen there are more chickens"

DH stood and stared as 50 odd 80 year old ladies suddenly became faster than an olympic running team as they took off after the poor staff member.

DH then followed and managed to get a chicken... but he spent the rest of the afternoon in shock.:rolleyes: :rotfl:

Said he didnt dare come home without a chicken!!!

maemaesmummy my DH was exactly the same. I sent him this morning armed with a list
He commented on how the dear sweet old ladies were like ravaged beasts around the chickens.... He did rubbish though. Only managed to get 2 x medium chickens £5.98 and £6.75 . He has been told off But kept saying the old women were like vultures lol

Went in today, there weren't any bigger chickens so I got the chicken pie instead, roasting veg and choc fudge pudding. Only two wines so I had to get the chardonay but doubt I will like it

We drank a chardonay last night cant remember the name :rolleyes: but it was £4.49 and ice cold it was really nice.

ok I know this is not the oldstyle thread.. but i got two m&s meals (chicken) with pigscrap vouchers , made roast chicken dinner for 4 last night O.H.snacked on 2 legs, stripped the meat boiled everything else for stock, today for freezer made a massive pan of stew half blended for soup, 2 large chicken pies & 10 chicken sarnies.. whoop!!! i always space out the meals & sarnies so they don't get bored n just starting second bottle of wine whoop! whoop! happy days
