I've heard the weekend specials will be on every other week inbetween a Dine In week but I'm not sure how long this will run for.

Apparently both deals are running on alternate weekends up until Christmas! :j

I noticed in my local M&S today that the meals that were on the £10 offer last weekend were reduced to half price today - Tuscan sausage bake on pizza's were approx £2.50- no reduced puds though!

I was in Worcester M&S this afternoon and noticed they had loads of the Tuscan sausage bake and the Pizzas that were in last weekends offer reduced to half price (i.e approx £2.50 ish) - couldn't see any reduced puds though!

Its true, the dine for £10 is every fortnight until Christmas.

I started a new thread to account for this here
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1179849&highlight=m%26amp%3BS+dine+%A310

so the thread can be bumped for each week that the meal deal is on rather than having several threads, all info can be found in one place.

I've also worked the dates out of the meal deals and put them all on the thread :D

I'm collecting my bottles of wine, as we don't really drink alcohol anyway, and their going into hampers for Christmas which I'm putting together myself. There's a really good thread on the forum dedicated to making your own Christmas hampers.

so you are saying that the £58 was after applying the £20 discount?

for it to work out to around £15 a person, then you must have chosen the most expensive item from each selection. as usually, once the discount is applied most people save around £7 per deal. so if you were given £5 towards your deal, then you should really only be about £2 out of pocket - making if £12 per head!

i dont know, as you were given a £5 dessert voucher, did you then only buy desserts that were £5ish each. as most that are part of the deal are around £3-£4. so that could have wiped out, any possible saving

OK, if you take the voucher into account, that works out at £10 per head, but without the dessert. All I am trying to point out here is that it nothing like as good a deal when they are offering the vouchers, as you still have to pay full price for the rest of the meal.
(It took me a while to get my head round it all.....)
  • thats very good news..the chouice this time was lovely
    onwards and upwards
  • Hi Meanmum,

I had a similar experience to you at the Manchester Trafford Centre M&S. There were no deserts on the shelf, so I asked the guy at the self service counter if they had any and he said that they didnt, but the normal tills were offering 5quid vouchers instead "which you could use at the same time to get 5quid off... so the meal without the desert for 5quid" - Bargain* So went and got all items (minus desert), it came to just under 10 quid (without desert) and the lady tried to charge me this. I mentioned about the voucher (which she didnt know about) so her manager came over, offered the voucher but still wanted to charge 10 quid. The original guy who said it was only 5 quid came over and explained but the manager wouldnt have it and said that either we take it without the voucher or choose a different dessert and they will reduce to 10 quid. As there was nothing left on the shelf then I didnt bother.

My question is that they have *heaps* of mains, so if they know they will sell one main per desert then why not ensure that they have enough stock of deserts?
