Can someone clarify the situation with buying The Times in M&S this weekend, please. Do you just buy the paper and the appropriate wine and the discount goes through automatically?
Many thanks in advance.0 -
Thanks for this, especially the "look for the bigger chickens" tip. On the end shelves where my local M&S were displaying this offer they only had the £5-ish medium chickens but when I looked at the main chicken shelves, the large ones were stickered as part of the deal as well. So I got two £9 chickens as part of my two £10 offers. Plus the orange juice is in double 1 litre packs (got enough wine) and some of the puds and salads etc are big enough to feed at least three. Bargain! I'll go back on Monday and stock the freezer.
and thank you for mentioning the bit about orange as I didn't realise they had that instead of wine. Friend did tell me that if you buy on a Sunday morning before they can sell wine that get a box of luxury chocolates.0 -

Oh my goodness, I was going to go early tomorrow. But if they can't sell wine, I'll stay in bed that bit longer, albeit with 3 kids jumping all over me.
When are they allowed to start selling hooch on a sunday?
Many thanks.0 -
12.00 or 12.30 I think. As we have 24/7 trading including a Sunday the wine and spirit aisles are blocked off from 10.00 pm on Saturday. Although M&S don't trade 24/7 but near enough come Christmas time0

Yes. You just buy the Times and get the discount automatically. The wine this week is a sparkling rose.
Think there'll be a different one starting on monday. Check out the newspaper thread on monday as Quoia usually puts details in post #2. Look for the wine with a black neck collar.0 -
Managed to get a huge chicken today - one of the £7.45 ones :jso thanks for the tip - did try to help others there by saying the large chickens were included too but mostly just got very strange looks - one lady even ran off to her friend and I knew she was talking about me? Is helping people just too weird these days?2019 Wins: Feb: £10 Aldi Voucher, Frankie & Benny's meal for 2; May: Game from Maynards. June: 2x tickets to Foodies Festival July: £100 September: £30; October: £1000, Goldfinch Merch Pack
Thanks those who post Comps0 -
I work for m&s (shrewsbury store) and we've been told that the 10% voucher DOES go through alongside the 25% voucher-staff also get the 20% staff discount on top of this :j
I also work for M&S (Aberdeen store) and we have a big sign up in our staff corridor threatening that if we put both vouchers through together either for staff OR customers then it will result in disciplinary action being taken!!! I thought it was a bit strange seeing as the voucher claims to be an EXTRA 10% off wine and not just 10% off wine.
You lucky people whoe are allowed should def use it, and I'll just have to take advantage again next time I go home to Edinburgh where they were letting me put through my shop using both with my discount. I miss the 55% off wine!!
PS, for folks in Scotland, the offer is apparently going to be on every 2 weeks as it is being trialled in Scotland, yay!! Lucky us!0 -
did you leave anything for anyone else ?0

I got up at 0700, drove 20+ miles to nearest M&S, in order to get some food I can't usually afford. If you've got a problem with that - well, then YOU've got the problem! - and there's enough grief in this world without making more for yourself. Be happy, and be nice to moneysavers.
i have no problem with it , obviouslye their is no limit to the amount you can buy so good on you.
i hope you enjoy all the food you bought
