Day 16 Part II
I had a really exciting few minutes on the Juicy Brains site this morning :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: They sent me an e-mail saying it had been re-launched so off I went and discovered that my balance had leapt from £2.50 to £32.50 Weeeee
'cept I couldn't withdraw it......and the site has been suspended:rotfl: :rotfl: easy come, easy go.:D
For the 5th day I took my vegetable soup into work (2 days I had takeaway) boring, but the kids were starting a mutiny
and I'm not throwing stuff. But I did chuck it, because when I warmed it up, it tasted of vinegar and was slightly fizzy.
I bought a KitKat from vending machine instead.:o
DS2 cooked tonight, so I was glad to have "skipped" lunch.
It started raining the moment I left the office so no gardening done. Instead I cleaned out a cupboard.
Two items finished on e-bay - about £7.50 but every little helps
And I received an amusing e-mail from one of my foreign non-paying buyers. "Tuesday I will certainly pay me find outside the city" so I think that one will be OK.0 -
Day 17
Woop-de-doo-dah I sold a book on Amazon, and have cleared £1.57 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Must rush and up-date my signature....
DS2 and I spent TWO HOURS sorting things in the loft and we've barely scratched the surface of the task! There are mice attacking things so each box needs to be unpacked, sorted and repacked. This time taping up the boxes, and labelling them clearly.
The wheelie bin is full, there's a huge box of stuff to Boot, and a fair amount to e-bay.We're very grubby, but daren't have a shower because the cat is still up there and is refusing to come down We took him with us to seek out the mice (DFW solution to the problem). We've tried coaxing him, we've turned out the light, at one time I got half way down the ladder with him in my arms but he twisted and leapt back into the loft.
I read a thread about cooking ahead for a month.....wasn't sure I could do an entire months worth of meals but thought I could do some batch cooking. So I've been doing some bean soaking and stuff for a great big cook-in tomorrow. But if the sun shines I *will* go out into the garden.:D0 -

energy, huh! I'm completely flaked out now, can't even get supper sorted and am fighting the urge for a takeaway0
-
Slept solidly until 9am
Woke to glorious sunshine, a bit windy but I think I will go out into the garden
Payment received on an e-bay item - 3 more payments due.0 -
Sounds great! Everything from starting to sort the loft to the cat leaping back up there (wish I could've seen that!) to the sunshine today. Have a good one.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Day 18
one of the slow buyers finally paid, so must get that sent tomorrow (& the amazon book)
And I've spent some time in the garden (interspersed with visits to here)
I've cleared the bed to one side which is visible from the sitting room (the room we haven't used except to store "stuff" since Popeye left  ) It was full of nettles, brambles and old patio potsI'm stung and torn to bits, but feel tired and victorious
I cleared the patio too, so when I tidy the sitting room there should be a pleasant view
DS2 mowed the lawn :T :T :T , we've agreed to do alternate mowings
DD donated a rug from her old uni house for re-vamping the sitting room and I took it to the launderette to get rid of some of the stains  but a rug for £3.50 can't be bad. And it was quite nice to sit for an hour in my gardening gear reading while it went round & round in the machine.
Now I must do the batch cooking I've promised myself _pale_ and as the car is now in for service I have to have a packed lunch and walk to work tomorrow.0 -
Happy walking!

......and you will feel so good for having walked to work and taken a packed lunch that you will want to continue doing it every day......even when the car is back :cool:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Batch cooking my chick pea slurry, and trying to find recipes for cannellini beans.
I rashly put them into soak yesterday so have to deal with them now. It's part of my eat healthily & lose weight campaign. DD reckons I'll be jet powered to work0
