Will have to try baby wipes then my keyboard is filthy and it's probably a miracle I can see the monitor for nicotine, my daughter says they're great too but she'll only buy the top brands I'll have the cheapies ;D
Don't use them on a carpet. A friend used to use them ocassionally when her little one split things. A few months down the line she had her carpets cleaned, and faded patches appeared where she'd used the wipes.0 -
ooh, i've done that occaisionally, won't do it again. thanks.

This is not strictly a cleaning tip but has saved me a lot of money. With four daughters the amount of ironing was ridiculous and I used Vaporesse to help me get through the loads of stuff. When I realised how much it was costing (even on special offer ) i decided to try using a spray plastic bottle filled with water and then added a few drops of essential oil) I used lavender but you could use your favourite. I then sprayed the garment with water before ironing and it worked perfectly. A bottle of essential oil costs about £4 or less and mine is still in use a couple of months later.
I think the smell of lavender may be releiving stress as well."This site is addictive!"

i've been doing this for a while, a bottle of oil last me 6 months ish, between me and the 3 kids, so is far cheaper than the ironing waters.0 -
I think you can get it from Cash and carrys like Macro or Costco.
Seem to remember someone saying that you can get it from a chemists in same size tubs as supermarkets but lots cheaper.
What isle is it on it the supermarkets? I can never find it.When life hands you a lemon, make sure you ask for tequilla and salt0 -
in supermarkets it is with the cake making things like 100's and 1000's and glace cherries.
but just found this site on web and have emailed them to see if they take mail order as I dont really want to pay by credit card.

No bicarbonate of soda is not baking powder but usually packaged almost identically.
Its also called sodium bicarbonate.
Baking powder is bicarb and cream of tartar mixed together.0 -
