I am just going through the process of ordering with them again. I asked if maybe my order was being overlooked as it was on the same order number that was originally sent with wrong prescription (so when i check on order tracking for that number it says - dispatched - with the original order date of about 3 months ago).

They said that that order has probably gone astray too - it is not worth waiting for them to turn up:rolleyes: Again, they said they have no control over the parcel once it has left Pakistan and their parcels are also subject to a lot of security checks and they have had problems recently:confused:

They asked me for 2 more product codes and am going through the whole process AGAIN!!!! Finger crossed it will be third time lucky!!!

I received my pair from goggles4u. I suppose my prescription is quite strong but the lenses on the specs are like jam jars.

    Debt-free and Proud!
I've just received my new reading glasses from glassesdirect and am sooo pleased. They fit beautifully, look good and are very good quality - certainly as good as the pair I paid £90 to a high street optician for. They only took 8 days to arrive in the post after I ordered them online (the local optician took 2 weeks) and the scratch resistant coating was free (£13 at local optician). I found the process really easy to understand and use and would be happy to recommend them - all that for £15 + £2.50 postage and packing. I just wish I'd known about them before.

    Julzed,

    I'll race yer !!! :p

My replacement pair were despatched on the 14th oct, only one pair which is odd as they asked for 2 frame choices

I doubt they will arrive but then they do package their specs like a packet of drugs so there is probably some customs inspector somewhere getting all excited about his latest bust !!!!

The reason i keep up hope is that i've yet to find such a good choice of frames anywhere else and although it was the wrong prescription the quality of the pair that arrived was very good.

Think i will pay for faster shipping next time the wait is killing me ,

  • For Sparkles -

I haven't found Zeiss frames, but https://www.Site4eyes.co.uk are now offering Calvin Klein glasses from just £49! This price includes case, cloth, hard coating, and of course the prescription lenses and delivery within the UK.

They also have Nicole Farhi, DKNY and a good range of fashionable and titanium frames at very good value prices, from £15.

Site4eyes display the frames' measurements for you to compare with current frames, and show good quality photos of the products, you just need to choose your glasses, fill in a copy of your prescription online, and the delivery details.

I bought the 'Germanic Gem' Premier frames for £65 a few weeks ago, and they arrived within 4 days. I'm very happy with them! :T

There is a customer service telephone number, and a money back guarantee - go see for yourself!

I ordered a pair of glasses from glassesdirect.co.uk and they're great! they only cost £17.50 and are very stylish and better then the high street ones. Very good service and they arrived in a couple of days. Wish i'd known about them before, spent so much money on my last pair. if you're not sure about buying over the internet i'd say go for it you'll wish you'd done it sooner.:D

I needed some new glasses recently but I have difficulty finding a frame to suit my face and consequently have to try on dozens of pairs before I find one I like. ANyway this is how I solved my problem.

I went to TK Max and lo and behold they had designer frames (D&G, Armani, Ralph Lauren etc) for around £16.99-19.99. I found a couple I liked (both at £16.99) and sent them off to onestopglasses.com to be glazed using a 1.67 thin lense at £45. I had been quoted £299 for the same D&G frame with the 1.67 lense. Not bad hun?

Yet another way is to go into a regular store and try on some mianstream designer frames (OAKLEY, ARMANI) etc and get the shop to write down the name or code for the glasses you pick. Then get on e-bay and see if there is the same or similar one to the one you like. Buy it and sned that off to the above website and Bob is your Aunty's husband.

Well i can recommend boots, i recently got prescribed some reading glasses and they had their £99 glasses offer on, which i took advantage of to get myself some sexy new Karen Millen glasses, with reflective and scratchproof coating on for £130 total.. you don't have to get the coatings on but i chose to as i use the pc a lot - i didn't feel at all pressured to get the extras either.

They currently have a 'free second pair' offer on so it does seem to me that they always have offers on their glasses. :)
