In an attempt to be more weezl-istic I have made potato wedges:D ...from real live (well less so now) potatoes. I used oil, salt and lemon tyme ( coz it was in the feezr and I've not used it before, and now thats feeling like I'm heading to mistake territory) oh well, we'll soon see how they turn out...
I also suffer with a oh who does not appreciate the frualista inside me (she'll there also with the skinny me and the grown up me) he has however allowed me to cook the 'weird healthy' foods, though he has said he'll probably wont eat it...men huh!
So here I go, into the devils mouth ( yes thats right healthy cook-from-scatch food is the work of the devil ) and hopfully will attain the accolade of mse weezlite extordinaire (gotta love wishful thinking:rotfl: )

ashia well done in being more frugalistic! As one who has always struggled with frugalistic tendencies (ie I shall have born to shop on my gravestone lol!!) I have been converted to own brand (I know, the shame!!) washing powder (1/2 a tablet with a bit of soda crystals) and fabric softner. Next time youre there comare the prices...even at BOGOF the named brand is extrotionate & I can honestly not tell the difference! If OH is a fussy B*** why not trick him by putting own brand in an empty lenor bottle? Lots of pepys on here fool hubands & children like this & been doing it for years!!
Now girls in my attempts to be frugalistic I am going to buy a yog maker. WIth my new diet I eat it by the tub so suss I'll save about 80p a tub which means it will pay for itself in under 10 tubs which is great. I want to make it from scratch and did have a squizz but was a tad confused by various recipes! Can anyone give me step by step instructions & measurements (ie not "up to the line..", whac a bit in" etc as a new yog maker I know that would be a disaster! ). Would be much appreciated! Also does anyone know if you can make HM fromage frais?!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

Will this be an EasiyoI use 1 small pot of live plain yougurt, 1 litre full fat UHT milk into the container. Add boiling water to the jacket (to the line that says "to here"). I then put in the yogurt jar and leave overnight.
Weezl - loving the head recipes, so far. Any pics:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks freecycle
vegetarians and ISOM look away now,
I've been a makin' plans for the pig's head!
Apparently my first task will be to scrub him well. I have been disinfecting a nail brush today for this very purpose.
Then he must be rinsed and patted dry.
Then I'm to pour a kettle of boiling water over his head in a colander in the sink...
I plan to make a rub for the skin with salt, ground black pepper and chilli. The butcher will score the skin for me so that should work out nicely. He's also removed the eyes (thank the Lord!)
Then I place him in a roasting dish with some wine (leftover from friends coming round, and now slightly acidic, with honey, bay leaves and maybe some thyme or sage, not quite sure yet. I shall baste him with this as he roasts for 3.5 hrs!
How's it sounding so far? Total cost so far about 1p for salt and pepper.:money:
I may need to be a bit clever when thinking what to serve him with. Is mash acceptable?
Erm, another dumb question, is all of him edible?:o (other than bones!) and a final dumb question, how do I singe off his bristles? I've got some 10 inch long matches, will those work?
vegetarians you can come back now! and I hope I haven't offended you forever!
moanymoany does that all sound ok to you?
Love nervous Weezl x
GULP!!! and to think my DOH Mr Munchki was about to take me for dinner!! Oh my,,,,, not so sure am hungry now:eek:I am somebody. I am me. I like being me. And I need nobody to make me somebody! Louis L'Amour0 -

will have to let DD know as I'm sure she uses this. and my Mum used to, so may be worth mentioning to her too -- so thanks for the heads up.Cheryl0
