Yay for Shaz !!!! Well done ! You probably wiped the floor with them (inserts cheeky smiley !) We're all very proud of you on here ! :T

Have had a LOVELY day at our local town show. Was amazing to see all the chutneys, cakes and goods in the 'show' tent. I'll be perfectly honest, some of the things that won first prize, I think us ladies on here could have done better ! lol :p

We saw Take That II (mmmmm yummy yummy :D !) and a Kylie lookalikee (who hubby thought was yummy yummy  !) - was a really great day out and we spent some real quality time as a family (something that we should do more often !)

The major bonus to the day was that we got speaking to the allotment association chairman and he's invited us down to the allotments tomorrow morning ! :j :T Not expecting miracles but maybe, just maybe, we might get one sooner than we hope ! We're on the list but it's not what you know, it's who you know ;) so we've joined and paid a membership, signed up to help occasionally and hopefully we'll have our very own plot soon ! (fingers crossed !)

Hope you've all had a lovely day. We're just chilling with a glass of red wine (our last bottle ! ) - might be back later if I don't doze off on the sofa ! heheh

  • Well Shaz, I hope all the recipes are on here so we can make award winning chutney etc...

I have been a little un-me and been getting in on the Christmas threads on here. I sometimes forget that it is only people on here who are buying presents already... I have some little hampers on my wardrobe which I am stocking with cheap things as I go along, so it is very moneysaving in the long run but not in the short... I think I may have an addiction to Home Bargains though, I think the prices in there are Weezl friendly too

Hope you have an amazing holiday Weezl, AM and Fergus!

Home Bargains/Quality Save for me as well (2 pressies for elder son at the end of last month). And Poundland as well (2 pressies for the same son on Thursday).

I already have some bits in for my grand-daughters and my nephews that came from Quality Save in Jan/Feb

I've always started my Christmas shopping in the January sales though -- possibly a throw back to when I was a single parent struggling with a mortgage in the mid 80's ?
