GOOD LUCK WITH THE INTERVIEW SLOWLYFADING!
I also love watching DVDs and have been watching a series of 'Friends' over and over! I was grumbling that I'd watched them all so many times and then the postman arrived with the complete boxed set! All the seasons! HS/OH2B bought me it as an early birthday pressie!I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

I love it, makes me smile when I'm feeling down. Chandler and Ross are my fave characters in a series EVER

SF, just be yourself and that is all you need to do. Two questions that you could think of an answer before: Why do you want the job and why do you want to work for them. If you can turn the answer that it includes benefit to the employer as well then that is always a bonus.
Talking about DVD's. I love the Heroes and would love to have the fist two series on DVD, one day I will allow myself to buy them. (I did get Ratatouille thou as it has that cute rat...)
I rephrased my plea for fridge and got one, need to arrange to pick it up tomorrow morning so no lie in for me meaning that it is bed time for me soon."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

I have NO idea how to answer those two questions, but I'll give them thought!

Still waiting for this marathon to begin.
Marrru - that is lucky to get a fridge. It reminded me to have a look, I've not looked on Freecycle for ages. Just today I put blanket box in the back of the car ready to take to the Age Concern furniture shop. The very 2nd want was a lady asking for a blanket box. How lucky is that?
Also been sitting here clicking the 'thanks' button as I seem to have got out of the habit - page 58!! and still a month to go.Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -
Good morning from a very soggy Scotland
Managed to get the grass cut yesterday afternoon in the few hours of sunshine we had. I raced up and down the garden with the mower and 3 cats in tow
I kept expecting to look up and see DH in his shed but no luck yet. I am sure he will surprise me one day. Read a lot of sad poetry in the afternoon and had a cry about the unfairness of it all.
Then I cheered myself up by defrosting the chest freezer
DH never labelled anything so I have found a lot of unidentifiable bags of stew, stock or soup :rotfl:
I will pass them onto my out of work nephew and family as the bags of food are far too much for one person to eat...especially someone with a little tum like me.
I am wondering whether I should get rid of the chest freezer now I'm on my own. But it is A rated and my electric bill is only £27pm. I do need to keep the basics like milk and bread in the freezer as I am so far from the nearest shops and in the winter the roads can be pretty hairy.
I also batch cook small meals for me.
When my Mum goes into care there will be her fridge freezer to get rid off but it only has a very small freezer.
So I think I have just talked myself into keeping the chest freezer
My paint is here. Saved £12 with SIL's husband using his staff discount :j
What goes with Misty Lavender and Dove Grey for bedding? I have been looking at colour wheels but I am mentally deficient when it comes to colours
Nyk hope you manage to get your dream building project.
slowlyfading good luck with the interview. Marru has given you good advice. I used to do a lot of interviewing and those are the sort of questions we would ask.
dfw love your chicken bargain.
bails wish I could find 50p cherries.
lyndasharp 7 miles:eek: Have you calculated how much shoe leather you used :rotfl:0 -
Morning Janey, and anyone else about (although Marru must be out and I suspect Looby is fast asleep after the marathon - must check the results!).
Bedroom colours sound lovely Janey, what about a luxurious aubergine colour?Hmm, I'm not sure I'm any better with a colour palette :rotfl:
Loobyloo, I would have bought more peppers but it was the last box! If I hadn't had my 'workmen' in I'd have got to the market earlier (but would also still only have 2 bedrooms).
Great news about the fridge Marru, glad the rewording worked!:TThat reminds me, OH brought me home a free hanging basket this week :j and 3 peppers and the offer of as many apples as we want, all from 2 of the people he's working for!
SlowlyFading, good luck with the interview! For teaching the interview process lasts all day  yuk! Think about your biggest weakness (in terms of the role, not chocolate etc) and how you can show that as a strength - always a nightmare of a question if it comes up and you haven't thought about it but impresses if you have. What's the job?
Nyk, the (shell of a) house sounds fab! What about getting a caravan you can live in on site to avoid the rental costs?
Right, off to check out the Olympics, got lots to do today but probably catch you later, have a lovely day all xThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

I'm off walking in the Scottish highlands in a weeks time with friends, I'm trying to get fit... We had a get together about it last weekend, sounds like they are thinking about 10+ mile treks up mountains, so 7 miles on tarmac doesn't sound quite so much then.
Nice day here today, I'm going to go for a walk around the white horse at Uffington to wear away a bit more shoe leather :rotfl:
Slowlyfading: another popular question is 'what can you bring to the job?' Also thinking about examples is useful, eg an example of when you've worked as part of a team, or whatever other qualities they expect for the job.Live on £11k in 20110 -
Good luck with the interview SF Good questions to think about from everyone, I was asked the weaknesses one at my last interview.;)
Marru - good result with the fridge:D
Nyk - I would go with the caravan option too, hope you can sort out the numbers, sounds like it could be an ideal place once the work is done:D
Janey - I would go with pure white bedding, but maybe not such a good idea with your cats:rolleyes: otherwise pick up on the lavender colour. Sounds lovely:D
Lynda - Hope the weather stays fit for your walk today:D
Just been for an early morning swim and jacuzzi, got a busy day ahead, hospital visiting and cooking tea for oldies. Might fit in another swim later on tonight if I get the chance. Have a good day everyone.0 -
I am still here, need to go in a minute thou.
Janey - what a wonderful image you dashing across the garden with the cats in tow :rotfl:
Looby - you've got piggies!!! How LOOOOVELY!!! :j
Nyk - as I said in the bingo I can see frugal mobile home living coming up
I have washing on in the hope that it stays sunny and I can get it dried outside.
Off I go now to sort out my fride and other bits.
Have a great day everybody,
