Hello :) I'm beginning to wonder how many of us on here have guinea pigs, as it seems to be something that quite a few of us have in common! :rotfl:

Marru, well done with the fridge

Looby-loo, well done with the blanket box

Janey, I love any shade of purple, but tend to clash it with a shade of yellow. I'm informed that such a colour 'mix' may be indicative of some form of mental disorder, like schizophrenia, but I don't care. (And neither do I!) :D

Frugal fixy-up with mobile home living would be fantastic and we'd probably have jumped in with both feet and bought the place instantly, IF that had been an option. However....we can't even get a car to the shell, let alone anything else as .... scroll down...

    scroll down further...

    scroll down some more...

    OK - here's the problem...

It's on the other side of a river with no bridge! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh, sorry, there I go again with the giggles!

Suggestions, please, on a postcard PM'd to NYK :o

slowlyfading good luck with the interview. Marru has given you good advice. I used to do a lot of interviewing and those are the sort of questions we would ask.
    Thanks :)

SlowlyFading, good luck with the interview! For teaching the interview process lasts all day  yuk! Think about your biggest weakness (in terms of the role, not chocolate etc :D ) and how you can show that as a strength - always a nightmare of a question if it comes up and you haven't thought about it but impresses if you have. What's the job?
I'll think about that! Okay, don't shout but this job I've applied for is in a bank  :o I'm quite good with maths and an interested in finance, so i thought it'd be a good start... :o

Slowlyfading: another popular question is 'what can you bring to the job?' Also thinking about examples is useful, eg an example of when you've worked as part of a team, or whatever other qualities they expect for the job.
Thanks! I'll have a think about that one too, though again, its a difficult question to answer! :)

Ooops, bit of a prob there.

I would love to do such a project I'm handy but I haven't got enough skills for it. I know it sounds cuckoo but I feel sorry for such buildings that they've nobody to love them. Maybe one day I will convince OH to do it if we have the savings in hand to pay for stuff that I can't do.

I am so very very fortunate in my OH. the cottage we have our eye only has one set of beams that he will have to duck to get under, he's 6'.laughing-smiley-014.giflaughing-smiley-014.giflaughing-smiley-014.giflaughing-smiley-014.gif

Fridge - result! Blanket box - result! Piggywigs ooh yeah!

    Buy a helicopter! :rotfl:

We now have two guinea pigs (though officially belonging to landlady), called Pig and Borat. Just had a debate about the newcomer.... do we have two males or is Borat a girl???? Not entirely sure - guess we'll find out if we soon end up with lots more guinea pigs!!!! Chicken run is all set up and ready to go, should be getting them sometime next week!

Slowlyfading, I'm rubbish with computers so can't help, I'm afraid. And one answer NOT to use for the 'why do you want this job?' question is, "because I like money." Not the best answer when applying to work in a bank. :rotfl:

Lingojingo, my collection of plastic bottles has been depleted as I chopped off the bases to use them to protect the cauliflower and beetroot seedlings from the cats, but nice idea! :rotfl:

Lyndasharp - I'm jealous! We would loove another piggy but don't have the space and landlord didn't want any pets here at all, we'd to get special dispensation for one piggy and the finches. I'd love to have chickens and quail outside, plus a dog and a cat and a goat and some ducks and.... you get the picture :D A nice new frugalhouse with its own garden would help solve that problem, especially if there's a river nearby. But a helicopter, that is out of the question, although there would be space to land it safely! Does Mr T or Co-op have a heliport? :rotfl:

MUST go and do something to take my mind off bridging gaps. I did a google for 'building bridges' but apparently it's a way of talking religion and renewing friendships & relationships! :rotfl: Oh... there I go again! WHY do I find this so incredibly funny???!!! :rotfl:

Can you put the caravan on one side and then row across each day to do the work?
