Welcome to the new posters. Tradition has it that you all have to come and clean my house as it's your first time. I'll sit on the sofa, do nothing and advise you! Worth a try!!! :D

I'm in, I have to be as the house is slowly going to pot. I'm allowed the brace of during the day this week as long as i'm not daft. I think i'll probably keep it on when i'm doing stuff incase I use it without thinking.

The telly is on the blink. The sound goes really quiet so you turn it up and after an hour or two it comes back so we all jump a mile! Luckily we don't watch it much so it's just deciding whether or not it's worth replacing.

DH pulled up the kitchen lino floor tiles to put some new ones down as some had cracked and were really yuk. Anyway, the hardboard they were on needs replacing so it's a much bigger job than we thought. Isn't that always the way. We're not putting a nice floor down as our dog as the odd accident due to a dodgy bowel. TMI? :rotfl:

I'm going to try and be in this week.

Been far too long since I was last here and so much has happened.

The biggest change is that we are now a family of 4. :j
As from the first week in April we now have our utterly and completely gorgeous DD aged 3.
Life has been incredibly hectic and stressful and choatic and happy since then making sure everyone's needs have been looked after as best as we can.

I have been making a reasonable attempt at flying these past 3 months with my own rota of rooms and jobs which seems to be working, but I'm going to try and keep up with the thread again for that extra support and reminders of what else needs doing.

Hope everyone is happy and healthy.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

    Hi everyone,
I'm in again this week. I'm still sorting my 'extras' list , so I'll put up my list in the morning to get me started...
I've got DD1 & 2 off tomorrow. They are paper stripping and wall painting in their bedroom, so hopefully that will keep them out of my way!!

I'm in again. Glad it's the kitchen first, I haven't quite got round to it this weekend  .

    V. chuffed with myself. After replacing the TD plug, I couldn't rest until I'd done the socket faceplate aswell. I turned all the electrics off at the mains just in case. I seem to have done it right cos nothing has gone bang yet :D . I am gonna get my Dad to check it over though, just to be sure.

Dinner done ( a chuck stuff in the pan affair, involving chicken, aubergine, whatever spice fell out of the rack, squash and coconut milk). Tasted pretty alright.

    Evening's Tasks

    Shopping list
    Pack-ups
    Put uniforms out
Persuade twins to get a shower
Vac stairs (is it a bit late for that?)
Empty wine bottle for the recycling bin :D
Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j

Oh no these things are a real pain in the butt!. Working with year one kids, they are as much as hazard of the job as nits.

Main thing is to treat all the family with Pripsen or Ovex. Wash all the bedding at 60C to kill the eggs.
Change towels and facecloths daily. Vac bedrooms daily and s&s the loo and surrounding floor. Make sure the kids nails are cut really short. Pants and Jammies in bed to make it harder for them to scratch.

The cycle is about two weeks from start to finish.

Apparently 1 in 10 children in primary school are infected at any one time. So chances are there are at least three and a half kids in my class with them at any one time!

Thanks prettypennies, just been reading through some stuff, I'm now feeling a littlle ill myself. Germish yes, very, which is why I was pleased a parent mentioned it at school so I could keep an eye open for them. Just aswell we've just blitzed their rooms making vacuuming much easier, will strip the beds tomorrow and I'm doing mine tonight because he's been in and out of there today watching DVDs nekid! Getting DS1s nails cut and keeping clothes on him is the biggest challenge! As I clean them when they have 'been' because they can't do it themselves I've caught them early I think, I hope. The stuff I have read says to treat again in 2 weeks.

    ARGH!!!!!

Right, ok, tomorrows first mission, pharmacy! It says no need to keep them off school but they've been told they are staying off. I have not been brave enough yet to tell DS1 why as he gets VERY paranoid about these things.
