Done my main shop last night spent £70.16 so I'm well stocked up to last 2 weeks or even maybe 3 at a push, I saw some lovely fillet steaks which I just had to have even though it was quite expensive.

The meals I have planned are:

    Lasagne
    Pasta Bolognese
    Fajitas
    Sweet n Sour chicken
    Chicken Curry
    Pork Fillet, pots and veg
    Toad in the hole
    Steaks, pots and veg
Lamb, pots and veg (I found the lamb lurking at the back of my freezer :D )
    Veg Stirfry
    Bacon and mushroom Omlette

I need to stock up on nappies and wipes, I will get them from Boots t'moro (like to get my boots points to save up for Xmas)

So all in all I'm doing better than I normally would, now I've just got to catch up reading this thread xx

Great, thanks for the conversion list Angelnikki I really struggle with the cup measurements, I am making the weetabix cake tonight and it is in cups so I don't have to guess now :T

Going to have a NSD today but tomorrow will need to pop to Mr M and go on a whoopsy hunt as my freezer seems to be emptying at an alarming rate!!

    Morning everyone.
Well after the good low spends to stock up earlier in the day I suddenly had no energy left to cook dinner yesterday :o so we ended up with sausage suppers from the Chippy and then DH treated us both to an ice cream! £6.25- used my own treat money but then decided that this must be deducted from the GC budget as takeaways are included in this budget! Back on plan today- chick curry tonight, leftover Slow cooker spag bol turned into chilli tomorrow, and left over chick curry with chick peas added to bulk.
Off to try making some Twinks hobnobs :D , homemade Naan :p and maybe some blueberry muffins too!
Today will be a NSD as we need nothing at all and am staying in house/garden today :j .
Take care everyone and its so inspiring to hear all your stores.
PS 4 days until our Tesco opens!!!!!!!!!!!! In saying that I will be loyal to Lidl as they are so cheap and have such great stuff too :T .

Well I made this on Sunday. Kids don't like it, I don't like choc cake in general (choc yes! choc cake no) and DH doesn't really do cake at all.....

Three slices from a large cake have gone. Any ideas what I can do with the rest? I really don't want to throw it away :-( Can I rehash it with something - can't think of any ideas cos I don't like choc cakes/ puddings myself! Am happy to cut it and shove in freezer in meantime

    GT
Hi I would cut it into slices, put into a container and freeze, next time going to friends for coffee, take the cake around, as a thoughtful friend ofcourse;) I am lucky as my kids not too fussy, so I woul just have put a bit of custard over it or served it with ice cream:D
