Mornin all
what a lovely day it looks out there already
my DD18 is off to Whitby for the day.its only about 45mins away, but she wouldn't take a picnic  said it's not a visit to Whitby unless you eat their fish&chips!!
good luck with OH's job interview fluffysox hope it goes well
SAV3R don't beat yourself up about your son.....i'm sure you're a brilliant parent, and i hope he's feeling better soon
SFT hope your sports day goes ok and you don't drop your egg in the egg&spoon race
hope to see you back with us soon Mrs Mc we've all missed you. hope things can be as well as can be expected :grouphug:
i'm off to the PDSA with Missy this morning to get her eyes checked again....they've ruled out cataracts and glaucoma so not sure what else it might be. some days her eyes are lovely and clear, and others they're really cloudy. its very worrying cos she's only 4 and i don't want her to be losing her sight
other than that, i'm hoping for an NSD. got my toilet rolls from Wilkos yesterday, and they'd gone up a pound in just over a flippin week
anyway hope you all have a good day xx0 -
Morning, wow the thread has grown overnight. Hoping for another NSD-likely stay indoors as back giving me bother again. Hoping for a NCD too (no chocolate day) as had far too much the last few days :EasterBun , hoping not to replace it with 'other' stuff (eg jellies) either!
Hope you all have a good MSD :money: .

Morning everyone:hello:
Just an update of signature to include spends from yesterday. This included jam sugar to make the summer strawberry jam which foreign correspondent posted on the homemade jam thread (its also on the back of the jam sugar pack) and it looks really good so is now on the shelf with the gooseberry jam, rhubarb jam and various pickles and chutney which I’ve made.
I plan to make some more of the artisan bread today and also going to try the cucumber lemonade which I found on an mse thread as it sounds a bit different and I need to use up some of my glut of cucumbers.
We had the first tomatoes from the greenhouse yesterday and we are already started on the courgettes although only the green ones so far as have also grown yellow courgettes this year but they seem to be growing a bit slower than the green. If the weather stays dry will pick some blackcurrants and strawberries (for strawberry muffins) and this year also have some cherries on the tree I planted a couple of years ago so will see how they get on.
Fluffysox - good luck to your OH for his interview later this week.
Hope everybody has a good day

Morning everyone, should be a NSD for me today as i did a big shop yesterday.
Have found another use for porridge oats:D Blatantly stolen from innocent smoothies but i dont care. Was making a breakfast smoothie with low fat natural yoghurt(Mr T value - very nice) frozen mixed berries and banana. I occassionally buy innocent breakfast thickies if i'm out unprepared:o Anyway decided to pop a handful or 2 of porridge oats in the blender too, yummmy! Tastes just like the innocent one and is much more filling! I dont actually like porridge on its own so this is a great way of getting the goodness of porridge without actually having to eat it as such. Sorry for the rambling:oThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Morning everyone. I am going into hospital on Thursday for some tests and have been warned I may need a blood transfusion ie overnight stay afterwards,so am panicking today as I have realised I need to make sure I have easy stuff in for my daughter to do-I'll be indoors the next 2 days doing the bowel prep (eugh!) so need to do it today-I had intended going back to bed as I was up most f the nigt with a horrible summer cold/chest infection thing. Hope everyone else has a good day.Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0

Well week 2 has gone a little better than week one, only £10.83 over this week. I am weak when I go shopping as if I see a good bargain I have to get it and put it the freezer, whether I need it that week or not, as it will still be there in the freezer for us another time. I have tryed to meal plan but it just does not work for me. Very fussy eaters in my family and often cooking different meals for different people. Hubby is the most fussy:mad:.
On a different note I keep reading about Mrs Mc. Who is this and where has she been. Sorry to be nosey but I have only been doing this for a little while.:hello: JULY G/C £50 WEEK
WEEK 1 = £69.50
WEEK 2 = £60.83:eek:
Week 3  £72.05 :mad:0 -

SAV3R - don't feel bad kids do daft things - my 12 month old dd2 cut her mouth open two days in a row last week falling over - but it does break your heart though - I hope he feels better soon
OrkneyStar good luck with those ncd's - I'm on a diet at the mo so I'm with you on that one!
