Phew! Finally managed to catch up with the posts after my weekend at my folks'
Done Mr T shop today, came in at £45.95. It puts me £18.85 over budget, but my cupboards are bulging at the seams, the freezer in the kitchen is stuffed and the one in the garage is pretty well stocked too, so am confident that I can spend less next month. This month's total also includes about £30 spent on a yogurt maker and some yogurt mixes, which I won't have to spend again - definitely now I've found out that I can make yog without having to buy the mixes, instead using some live yog and UHT milk :T
If anyone has problems with bananas going off, I can heartily recommend Lakeland's banana bag. I put some in mine a week last friday and just took the last one out - and it's still green! Dunno how it works, but it's fab. Been recommending them to all my friends, and also have to get one to send to my Mum. I guess most people here would just use the over-ripe bananas in some yummy cakes, but I'm trying to lose weight so the banana bag will help me to eat my 'nanas as nature intended and not mixed with butter, sugar and other bad things! :rotfl:
SAV3R - hope your DS is OK, I'm sure you're a brilliant parent - kids just bash themselves up sometimes.

Wow! I'm finding hard keeping up with post since I started back at work. I have had a few visits to the shops to add to my sig.
((Hugs)) to all that need them. SAV3R - I am sure you are a fab parent - I hope your sons arm is OK.0 -
I dont know if anyone has posted this yet as I havent managed to get through all the earlier posts but Lidls have a special offer on the Simple range. They have eye make-up remover for £1.99, facial wipes for £1.99, shower gel and handwash for 99p each and baby wipes (packs of 80 wipes) for 99p. I can only use the simple range as we all have bad skin so I stocked up on 18 packs of wipes, 5 handwashes and 5 shower gels which should last me a good few months lol (apart from the wipes which wont last as long but better to stock up with 2 little ones).
Hope that helps someone.2 adults and 3 children DD (14), DD (12) & DS (10) :smileyhea and 2 mental beagles.

Haven't been on here for days since been away in Gloustershire in the rain and mud. (typical my luck since it was apparently lovely back home) OH had a BBQ and I came home to find about eight packs of batches (bread rolls) and a fridge full of meat. #
Had to throw a a bag of lettuce he'd bought away because it was already looking manky and 3/4 of a chicken pie he'd cooked three days previous- haven't thrown food away in ages so was gutted. Anyway managed to freeze most of the bread and meat and cooked the rest. We had burgers in batches last night and tonight I made a sausage casserole to use up a bag of cumberland sausages and some veg that was past its best. (Served with buttered hotdog rolls)
There is another four portions so we'll have to have this for lunch and tea tomorrow- but to make it a little different I've chopped in some peppers and some chorizo sausage somebody brought.
I'm not going to include any money OH spent on BBQ as that won't come out of joint budget. I haven't been to shops because I've not had access to them so NSDs Tuesday to Sunday. Today I spent £1 on a sandwich in work- could've had this free if I sat in canteen with pupils but wanted to get on with some work. Thought I'd just go off topic slightly- one of the reasons I'm determined to monitor and cut spending is my OH is being made redundant at the end of next month (was originally supposed to be a later date) and he has an interview later this week- wish us luck!2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

Good luck! Will keep my fingers crossed for you and your OH
I have an interview on Wednesday. Had an appraisal today which went well, but boss told me that we cannot have any more staff due to the credit crunch (a likely excuse - more like they don't want to pay for more staff even though we desperately need them!) Anyway, I'll feel bad if I get the new job as I'll be creating even more work for my buddies I'd be leaving behindYou can do anything, make anything, dream anything.
