Busy day....did nowt. Had a great time battling with baby instead. She was tired, but refused to go for a nap. Lots of exercise for me up and down the stairs. Must remember to buy some earplugs at some point...

    Evening all
I've made flapjack to take to DD's with me tomorrow, she's having a birthday tea, I'm making sarnies as well, but will do that tomorrow. I've also made a huge tray of bread pudding for work on Monday.
I am determined to go tomorrow as I'm getting worn down with BIL's probs, I was on suicide watch last night & now I've hidden his car keys, his ex rang him last night, it seems their DD was molested 12 years ago when she was 10, by the ex's step parent, why the ex had to phone BIL at 3 this morning & drag him over their is beyond me, she's known for 3 weeks.
I have a horrible feeling something will go tits up if I leave the house tomorrow, but BIL has 3 brothers & his mum, so why is it all falling on my shoulders, I understand that because of his past experiences my hubby is about as much use in a crisis as a chocolate teapot. But I really cannot let my DD down tomorrow, so please keep your fingers crossed for me.
Sorry to offload, there are so many on here with much worse problems.
    Hugs Hester

squiggly, how is the new man ?

Aww, bless you for remembering :)

I haven't actually seen him for the past 2 weeks - partly cos I was away at Grayshott, and partly cos he is dealing with the imminent move of his ex (who is temporariliy sharing the old marital home  ) and his boys - but I am fine with that as my exOH is currently messing everyone about, deciding to move back in with wife he left 2 months ago....

However, Mr Nearly New Boyfriend & I have spoken on the phone a few times, and yesterday I texted him after a chat to say he "gets me all of a fluster & tongue-tied" - lol!!! Which he does - I get all silly & can't string a sentence together...!!!!! (He replied to say good!!!!!) So a couple more weeks of patience (plenty going on here though) and then we will see how things develop... but the signs are very positive :)

Welcome to wanttobeasaver and any other newbies I have missed in recent days too.

Edit to add ((((((hugs))))) to Hester - and also to the many others going through tough times. Remember, when the going gets tough, keep going.

Well just done another hour in the garden taking the edging tool up the borders and things looking a bit neater.

I have put the bedding on the line but there is a dampness in the air. However, forecast for tomorrow Ok so will just leave out there.
