    Morning all

teensy bit of a vodka head this morning but well worth it - cheers again Jackieo

I was Home Alone last night with many plans to get this weekend's jobs out of the day - of course it didn't happen so will try to catch up this morning. Later I'm picking up two youngest dd's and dgs to go swimming - watch out Feltham it's the Annual Stef Shows Her Legs Festival today. I can't swim so my role is to hold onto dgs in his arm bands for about two hours while the dds enjoy themselves followed by an hour of trying to get dgs out of the pool with dark threats intermngled with promises of ice cream - what fun! On the bright side dd(18) has bought me some swimming shorts to go over my cossie which will go some way towards hiding the worst - how I long for the day that victorian style costumes come back in

dgs is coming home with dd(11) to help look after his Nana for the night while his mum celebrates her best friend's 19th. Eldest dd and her bf coming round some time today to sort out next week's camping trip which I booked yesterday - they wanted to do some back to nature camping and are taking me and youngest dd for technical support - I don't think it's going to be a huge success - dd(23) is wondering where to plug her straighteners in and dd(11) is fretitng about missing the last episode of dr who. the site sounds lovely and allows campfires wich is a rarity - luckily I am no stranger to compost loos
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

    Morning all,

not posted much recently, though I've lurked a bit still. Not been much OSing going on here, mainly dozing on the sofa, lol! I did sort through all my clothes & filled 2 black bags of stuff, which has been duly shared out among DD's & other family. Need to get some serious clearing/tidying done this weekend as my little brother is coming to decorate my bedroom Monday & I have my builder in the rest of the week fitting my new bathroom :)

Congratulations JackieO, how incredibly inspirational you have been! :T

(((((((hugs))))))) to all those who are going through tough times, there seem to be so many at the moment :(

TNG, hope you're ok :kisses2: :happyhear

  • Morning All!

Well, its now day two of the looooooooong weekend (I'm off til mid tuesday) and sky city is still being overrun by smash bros brawl. We played more than ten hours yesterday, and I still managed to do a washload of darks, make two meals (properish ones, well chilli and pizza but I was concerened for our eating proper food wat with this game coming out, we're a little hooked) and watch as the terrific trio fix teh interwebs.

We've been up since half seven (omg a lie in!!) and i got to catch up on half an hours worth of news before the begging started. At least I managed to get dw on and another washload waiting in the wings. Gonna sort out the hand pots and vaccum too I think. Why do we take hols from w**k? Days always end up getting filled up with other stuff.

Well, back to the forum for another flick through the threads, am waiting for the july grocery challenge to start as I've decided to join in (Argh scary budget territory)

Hope everyone has a fabulous saturday, as always my hugs, love and thoughts with those in need.
When life gives you lemons......Grab a bottle of tequila and call me over!

    Good Morning All

JackieO - enjoy your holiday & N9eav your week off

    ((((hugs)))) to anyone and everyone

Was going to post a lot earlier this morning but someone turned up at 7.45 who I was expecting at 8.30! He was here to help OH lay some concrete so they are out at the moment. DS is up and I am trying to make him get ready for footie practice but he is on go slow this morning. Unlike DD who is up and bouncing on the trampoline, I usually dont see here till 11am at the weekends.

Plans today - clear the washing and ironing baskets. At lunchtime I need to make loads of sausage and bacon rolls to take down to OH & his mates who are working. May do some paperwork or may just read in the garden depending if the sun stays out.

Hope you all have a great day.

I too have a slight wine head from last nights celebrations, but tea and toast will sort it, Jackie, enjoy your holiday, you deserve it xx

Kathy, enjoy your time without OH, just imagine all the things you can get done without him 'helping' :D

Hugs to smoky, pen pin, candy, jayward dogrose and all in need xx

DD is out with her dad today, OH and I need to pop out for some more bird feeders, we have loads of nut ones, but the birds don't like them, and they go rotten, the seed ones are emptied daily at the moment, so will get a couple more of them. Then we will go walking, weather permitting.
