. This means I usually have to get my fianc! to buy vodka or southern comfort for me. I'm 19 as well and do not usually get asked for ID but when I do get ID'd I feel like saying to them 'you are a 2 mile walk from my house and I am not risking my parsport on that for a bottle. I have no other form of ID and it is not my fault  !' It does make me angy that people think you should have another form of ID other than your passport!
It would be even worse if that was the only form of ID that they would take  .

i was id'd back last year buying cigarettes from a local petrol station!! i am over 30 and had also driven my car and she had already rang up the tankfull of petrol i was buying. if she had bothered to look at me during the transaction she would have been aware that i certainly look old enough!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

If you drank enough of the BBQ sauce for it to have an alcoholic effect, just imagine the effect it would have on your digestive tract !!!!! :eek:0 -

I had that when the age was 16 for smoking related things, as I was buying a lighter in a petrol station. The fact I had driven my car in and was buying petrol, and she had rung that up didnt seem to register as a problem.
When I asked if she thought I was under 16, and if so why was she selling me petrol she went very red and served me. Lol.Green and White Barmy Army!0 -

perhaps OP should ask iceland (or other overly officious stores )for their staff records, to prove all paid minimum wage or above, and that they even have right to work/live in UK..
watching the Primark scandal show last week make you wonder how they get prives so low..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

dont forget some fruit cake has traces in. what about vinegar isn't that alcoholic too. It keeps me amused whenever i buy stuff from wilkensons what is classed as a knife and what isn't in the diy section. Normally you could do a lot more damage wiht stuff that isn't classed a knife than the stuff that is.Money, Money, Money ..... Banks/Casinos/Bookies give me all you money its a poor mans world....0

Does anyone remember gripe water? This was the stuff given to babies to calm them down. It turned out that it contained alcohol - hence the babies going to sleep! There was a reported case of a woman who became an alcoholic by drinking several bottles of this stuff everyday. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
