'"Luckily" my OH isn't working, but he is not so good at entertaining the children as I am so I will have to organise play dates & stuff to ensure my DS doesn't spend a whole month watching telly indoors. I've booked 2 weeks off both jobs too. We will get through it, but I hate not being around.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Holidays are a nightmare and for some reason this year particularly. Ours have 7.5 weeks off and this is the first time I've had to cover for 3 (DS2 is now at school and not in nusery).
I've take 2 weeks off, 1 week of in days pw which effectively makes me work 3 days pw in the summer hols rather than 4 and then the rest is childcare. DD will be based at my Mum's however she (me) needs to get her organised so she's not just watching TV etc all day. The rest is childcare - not cheap and not necessary first choice but needs must!Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
Been very naughty and enjoyed every minute of it. DD1 had some book tokens to spend, so we spent ages in W H Smiths whilst she made her choices. She is the only one out of the 4 that really enjoys books, so its a pleasure to take her into the shop and see her eyes light up.
Bought some digital scales for OHs business which should help with costing for the postage on e-bay, a few other bits and bobs he needed and his business will pay me back.
Went to Next and got both DDs a pair of dungarees, however the youngest DD might have to wait a while before she gets hers, it just depends how poisonous she is tonight after being collected from cub camp. DD1 also got a new swimming costume.
Went to Wilkinsons (love that shop), begrudgingly bought a new ironing board cover (hate spending money on stuff like that), microfibre cloths, tin opener, 2 reams of paper and a few other bits. The off to Asda where I got DD1 a new t shirt for a fiver and some fruit and veg and other stuff. My treat for the day was to get a CD that DS1 has been playing constantly on i-tunes and got me hooked. The best thing was it was reduced to a fiver!
Just got to cash out on Virgin (seems to have taken ages) and it won't let me take any dosh out until a deposit has been made. Paid in a fiver and found that you can cash out on Virigin when it does hit £5. Also paid in £5 into OHs account so when the time comes it will be ready to go. They are crafty because once you have paid in your deposit you can't withdraw for 72 hours!
Off to work for a couple of hours a bit more dosh towards the electric fence. Going to go and ride but the weather is pants. DS1 is desparate to go and has been asking (nagging) when I will be home. Have a good day.

Sounds like a reasonable weekend! We have missed out on the rain, but I'm sure we will get a storm at some point.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

Day off today and I am actually off not 'helping' other people. Off to a friends for lunch later. Getting through mounds of washing as its been so humid here that nothing has been drying. The dog did her usual disappearing act when it thundered yesterday, luckily she had gone to my friends. Now got another saw paw.
It was DD2s sports day yesterday until the thunderstorm broke. It was the best mums and dads race to get under cover ever. I even managed a jog myself! Sports day is hastily being re-arranged.
Jockey friend who has been riding my horse, got taken by surprise by the old boy on Tuesday, who sneakily snook out of the electric fence and refused to be caught. Both of them are now back behind the wire, much to their disgust. Had a lovely ride on Monday night apart from being eaten by flies.
Area 2 Avon delivered and orders collected in. E-bay sales are still going well and having to get re-stocked. OH has phoned for the balance on the post office card which stands at just over £50. I'll pay that off today and might get OH to phone and see if they have got any BT on offer to shift the HSBC onto. Target card will be £198 by the end of the day. Hoping to get that cleared by the middle of August. Paid for the having the horses rugs cleaned, which has been waiting a while. Also phoning round for some heating oil quotes as we are nearly out.
Grocery spends for last month were horrendous. In total spent £522.11. This month I need to be a lot more focused. Also need to start saving some pennies for our holiday spends.

Paid another£106.86 off the blasted cards. Its slowly coming down. Got to go and pay for the car boot repair today. Also found out yesterday that the air con isn't working. Debating whether I can live without it. The thought of an 8 hour car journey with 6 hot bodies in is preying on my mind.

Looking like £80 for the car. Tis very warm and humid. Just had a large downpour and I have foolishly left them outside to dry. Oops meant to say left the paper bricks outside to dry. Now back to square 1.
