Ok somebody hand me the stupid hat! I set up a standing order for £180 to go off the post office credit card. However we had a bit of a windfall and managed to pay £1000 off leaving a balance of £34:j. I was waiting until the next statement then I could clear it. So, of course today I logged onto the internet banking to find £180 had been taken:eek: How easy is it to get a credit back off the company? I have no idea.
I think DS has realised he is in the dog house. He got up at 6.05, cleaned and mopped the bathroom and the kitchen. He has been told he isn't going to DD1s party. Must get on.

Quick up date. Didn't win the items DS2 had placed a bid on, so that's one bit of luck.

I did that last month as well L when I cleared a balance off a card forgetting I'd made a regular payment as well. I wrote to them asking for the money back and they were fine it was refunded within a week or so. Easy done when you are clearing cards - listen to me - LOL :rotfl:Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0

Well I've had a thunk about the credit card. I got OH to ring up for a new pin number. The reason being is that I have ear marked this months child benefit to pay for the new tyres. So, if OH uses this card and I pay off the residual amount everything should work out. Well that's the theory lets see what happens in practice.

Thats what I was going to suggest~using card to pay for something you would usually use your debit card.I did the same this month but for a much smaller amount so thinking about buying a pair of Canterbury's.Bad beanie!I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Quite a good day today. We have been trying to get an ebay shop up and running for OHs business and finally last night we got some items listed.
OH has carried on listing today and got a total of 39. The good news is that 2 items have sold all ready. Honestly I was so excited, it was only for a small amount but its a start. They are packaged up and I will be able to post them tomorrow. Pay day this week, whoop, whoop!
