a rest will do you both good and the bathroom can wait another few weeks x0

What a spendy L I've been and its got to stop! Today we've got a new light for the bathroom from Argos and I thought I'd got a £5 off voucher but it had expired on Christmas Eve, annoyed about that. I've also purchased a new Dyson, I spend more time pulling mine apart than hoovering. After the bathroom has been done the old one can go to the workshop. The new one had £60 knocked off and I'd been given £100 in vouchers from work. I also used up the last of my nectar points as well.
Spent another age in Homebase and hopefully have got everything that's needed. We even got the paint for the boys room, which might be tackled after the bathroom.
So, I've been having some ponderings regarding New Year. I don't make resolutions as such but have a few guidelines that I want to work with. These are:
Lose some more weight
Debt free
Savings
Hopefully the weight loss will be achieved by getting bak on the plan and going to the gym (OH got me that for Christmas)
Debt free, this could be the hardest of the lot. If the family tax isn't awarded back then it really is going to take a couple of years to pay back and the amount has gone up with the spends from this week.
Savings will only work if the debt gets paid so those two go together.
I need to cut the grocery spends back. The freezer is full to bursting so I need to ge a grip on this. I mean there are 3 turkeys sat in there! Have a plan to cook one every 3 months. I've worked out that the Christmas Day turkey has served at least 30 portions and that's not including what was used on the buffet run.
Got work tomorrow and Wednesday and off for the rest of the week.

Its sort of Tardis shaped! I've got a chest freezer that I paid a tenner for about twenty years ago. Its only got 2 baskets which is a bit of a pain but I'm used to it now.
Cooking the chunk of beef that DS1 was given. Going to have Brie pots to start with and maybe Christmas pud for afters if theres any room.
DS1 has been to work this morning and done the feeding up but only so he can nick the quad and go and follow the hunt. Hoping he'll be back soon as we're all ravenous. DD1 is a bit miffed as she was hoping to go but couldn't get seat on a quad.
OH managed to get the ceiling panels up last night and is busy tiling today. I've a sort of funny story, so here goes.
OH phoned to ask me to go to Wilkinsons to get some no more nails for the ceiling panels. I got 6 tubes of the stuff and also needed some 'ladies items, with wings' if you get my drift. Unluckily for me it was a bloke on the checkout and the look on his face was priceless when I plonked that lot down!
Going to check to see if my roasties are as good as Christmas Day.
