A bit of a mixed week. Picked up Vanessa (decided Vera was a bit dowdy) She's a chunky monkey so going to take some getting used to. Lost 9lbs in wieght, which I'm very pleased about. Postie has brought a cheque for £166 car tax refund for the old car. That's going in the car pot which is the new debt pot, will pay a chunk off in Novemeber. It's interest free so better earning a few pennies in my account.

Hoping to get the internal doors away to be dipped today, can't get an answer on the phone where they're going.

My mum had a fall at my sisters and has broken 2 bones in her foot. She's in hospital at the moment as my stepdad can't cope anymore. She's already tried to escape twice and they've had to bring her back in. She's being really awkward, cantankerous and a difficult old bat! I think social services are going to look into the care package and see what they can do. My sister is being as big a pain as normal. Oldest sister is stressed out by it all.

DS1 came home yesterday and said he'd left his job. His boss has been having a go at hime for ages (according to him), he was being awkward about him having a week off in October, not paying overtime, didn't want him to go to college etc and DS1 had enough. Not sure how this is going to pan out, college have said he's got 4 months to get a new placement. Told him he's going to work with dad at the workshop, not watching Jeremy ruddy Kyle all week. Not sure how long that will last as there can be 'tense' moments.

Ending on a slightly better note, DD1 got a cheque from a company towards her Thailand trip. The show she was hoping to do today has been cancelled, this was going to be a big money earner for her. After a lot of nagging and some bullying she phoned the pub where the show dance is going to be and asked if she could take a bucket in for donations, they said yes.

A bit disappointed with other members of the 'team' a couple of them have got bag packs and won't share it oue. Another one has got one and is only doing it with his family. Not the kind of attitude I was hoping for.

Was it DS1's boss who wouldn't allow him time off to go on holiday with you? Doesn't sound a very nice place to work.

Glad you're enjoying Vanessa :rotfl:love the name :rotfl:
