I'm still off the caffeine, go me. DS2 liked his pressies and cake so that went well. DD2 went for a sleepover on Friday night and picked her up late Saturday. DD1 went off on her training weekend, just got back from picking her up, 1 very tired girlie.
OH managed to mend the log splitter so we have been carefully doing some logs. I had my back tweaked on Friday night by the chiropracter, its been a lot better but still trying to be careful. I keep telling (nagging) OH to go as she's got a table that he can hang on by his ankles that helps to reset the discs/ligaments, supposed to be really good.
Cooking some beef and yorkies for tea, also did some roast veg for my dinners next week.

Back had been really good but when we went to pick DD1 up from her camp OH was being daft trying to hop over the humps in Morris and its been niggly ever since.
Had to abandom Pippa Polo at DS1s work the other day as I thought she wouldn't get through the floods. OH came to pick me up in Morris. None of the chaps made it into school, local village flooded and no chance of anyone getting through. Managed to get to work though, only half an hour late.
Day off today and been to the docs for that special lady check, yippee, so looking forward to that! I always ponder the knicker problem and the choices:
* leave them elegantly draped over the chair
* stuff them into my pocket
* clutch them to my ample bosom
* or chuck 'em at the ceiling hope they stick and get them down later......
answers on a postcard.
Still off the caffeine, have lost 4lbs, 44 million to go. Helpful lady nurse said I needed to lose weight, no !!!! Sherlock.
Got to take DD2 off to view the high school tonight. I've just registered her online for the admissions. Had an exceedingly blonde moment when I phoned them up to say the online form wouldn't take the date of birth I was putting in. It was when I said it won't take my sons date of birth I realised I was entering the wrong child!!! Oops
Hopefully the accountant is coming tonight as she had to cancel on Tuesday as she couldn't get out of her lane due to the floods.

Oh L, you just had me in hysterics with your description of the Special Lady Check ! :rotfl:
For what its worth , mine are always stuffed in my pocket. I always have concerns as to whether everything is as neat and tidy down there as it should be or whether they will be talking about me in their coffee break. Mine is coming up soon, but an old friend has taken up the post of Nurse at the Docs, so she will be doing it for me. I am absolutely mortified !
Really hope all goes well with the Accountant this evening.LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

:rotfl:It must have been the stress of the lady check that made you enter the wrong child :rotfl:Was it confirmed, were you a lady? Probably not if you chucked your knickers at the ceiling....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Dear diary sorry I've not been posting must try harder.
Life has as usual been hectic, badminton has started again, thoroughly enjoyed it. Work is ok. 3 chaps have had an excellent day yesterday, they went on a giant game of hide and seek/tig with a lot of other scout groups. They got dropped off at certain points and had to make their way back without being caught by the catchers. They left at 7.15 and returned at 10.30pm completley knackered and sporting loads of blisters but had a great time.
On to other news, wich is quite exciting. My oldest sister and hubby have offered to buy me a car for a certain big birthday. I have a substantial budget (more than I had saved) so I've been car shopping. The stress, the decisions, the hair tearing!
THe first hurdle was wheather we went down the 7 seat route or back to 5. I've decided after talking to the chaps to go to 5. Make, model etc I haven't a clue. I've narrowed it down to 2, a Volvo and a Toyota. My head says Volvo and my heart says Toyota. Aaagh the decisions. I've been on Which, all reports and they are pretty much matched. The Toyota has more miles and gadgets, noisy to drive. Both are diesels, the Volvo is smoother and quieter, less gadgets. Help! The only blessing in this sort of shopping is at least it doesn't make my bum look big!

Oo how exciting, I'd probably opt for the Toyota if that's what your heart wants. Have you price compared running, car tax and insurance costs as well? That may help you make up your mind
