Well Done at the Gym. I have a sort of regime I am supposed to follow, but its so boring. I am also meant to fill a card out each time I go and mention how the workout was, good , bad etc.Do you have one of those ? I was embarrassed ,as I so rarely went, nothing was written on it, so last time I showed my face I thought I would sneak the training card into my gym bag when the trainer wasnt looking, complete it at home with a cuppa, adding a few fictitious training sessions in of course and then give it back
The trainer would think I was being remarkably fit and healthy and only I would know the whole truth and nothing but !! LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Yes I have a card with the amounts of time I'm supposed to torture myself on each machine. There is one exercise I'm really not keen on. I have to sit on one of those big balls and raise weights above my head. I'm worried I might pop the ball, drop the weights on my head or fall off the ruddy thing and then drop the weights on my head! Still I like a challenge.
Awake as OH has left for work, only 3 shifts left after today. He's decided to cancel Fathers Day tomorrow as he's working and have it next Sunday. All being well should have the chap out to look at the cooker today. When I eventually shift out of bed, I'll put all the shelves to soak int he bath with some washing powder. After he's fixed it (hopefully) I'll put some gunk in the ovens and give them a scrub. Well that's the plan.
Got to drop DS2 off for a sleepover, if the weather improves DD1 can go and sort out the flowerbed at work.

Awake as OH has left for work,
L
Had me worried for a bit when I saw the time of your post on my diary. Glad it wasn't something bothering you that had you up so early.
Gym sounds fun, if not scary at the same time. I'm hoping to be well enough soon to join mine again.
Here's a picture just for you

Can I be nosey and ask where you got your prescription swimming goggles because I have only started to wear glasses recently and I would like to attempt to learn to swim but I would be afraid of missing something in the water?
I felt awkward enough asking the optician if I could get prescription sunglasses because I didn't know such a thing existed!
Well done on going to the gym, I would love to but I am so unfit!
 0 -
Hi Jo, I know how you feel I used to swim with my glasses on then I could see the children. I just asked the optician how much they'd be, not cheap but a great investment.
Dropped DS1 off at his friends and then took the DDs into work. DD1 has started weeding the bed but then it started raining heavily so we came away.
Came home to a message from my sister to say that my stepdad was in hospital, no food in the fridge and he had given my sister his debit card with the wrong pin and she was fizzing. No how he was, which ward he was on, how long he's going to be in. Just banging on about the power of attorney and it needs altering. She was the one that wanted it all set up in the first place.
I phoned big sis up but she's not back in the counrty till tonight. Spoke to my BIL who knew a bit more about stepdads condition. He is thoroughly fed up with my sister and I predict another month of hell.
I took the plunge and phoned her, we ended up having an argument and her putting the phone down on me which is her usual stunt when its not going her way. I've put up with loads from her in the past, well since childhood and normally I adopt the ostritch position but I refuse to do that any more.
The silver lining as far as my OH is concerned is that she now won't be going to the Bruce Springsteen concert and I have to go and listen to old wailey knickers instead. I expect to get vile, nasty emails very soon. Sigh.
Sat in the living room with the lappy, fire lit and Life On Mars on the tele box, weather is still persisting it down.
Oooh, the chap did turn up to look at the cooker, I did have my doubts. It needs new hinges and grill element. He's supposed to be phoning with prices. He did ask if it was worth repairing!!! I thought it should be in the region of £100 and yes it was worth repairing! Do people really throw things away like that and just get new? I know when the washer repair man was here he said ditch it and buy a Hotpoint! Why? I like my cooker and I still think of it as new even though its 11 years old and it was the first new thing I'd ever bought.

Oh dear, hope your stepdad gets better soon. ((hugs))
Sounds like your family is as barking as mine then
I often wonder where I came from. Then again maybe I'm the barking one and the rest of them are normal :rotfl:
That of course means my DC are also barking because in my eyes they are bleeding terrific
Mad about our disposable society isn't it. Me thinks that is why the country is in such a mess. Even as a shopaholic, I'd never throw away things that were more economical to repair. I just bought too much of everything and rarely threw anything away.
Hope the cooker doesn't turn out to be too expensive
