Dropped DD1 off at maths revision class yesterday after a very nasty argument. She didn't want to go......yada...yada. She went even though in her eyes it was a waste of time. DD2 and I wandered round the town. I've got to find an outfit for the races which has to have a fascinator (bosses decision) to wear. As I am on the large size this fills me with dread. I also need something posh for my nieces 21st, which has to have a hint of Strictly Come Dancing to it. I was hoping to go with something flapper-ish, I've got a black wig which my friend has cut (she's a professional) some ace sparkly false eyelashes and also got the shoes. just need the frock.
A sales assistant in Monsoon was so helpful but have you seen the prices? DD2 took some piccis but they haven't turned out brilliant, I did leave feeling inspired as at least I found something. Went in another shop and tried a few on and think I've sorta found something that would do both events. I have also been looking at spanx and decided that I need a pair that start at my ankles and finish at the wrists and chin line!
Had a bit of a spendy time when I came home as I decided to join the gym, which is very near to work and has its own pool. I've joined for 3 months, as its a self programming one I'm going to pay a bit extra to get a programme done for me.
I've also booked a holiday cottage for the August bank holiday week in Skye, as my friend up there needs some jobs doing but it shouldn't be all work. I hope the car makes it.
DS1 is away at college doing a shearing course, he should be back tonight. His friend who can drive is doing the same course so no taxiing for us. He and DD1 have got the Young Farmers rally tomorrow and then its DD1s birthday on Sunday.
Whilst the fossils were up she was telling them about Thailand. They agreed to sponser her £500 for a C in maths!!! My chops hit the deck, hence 500 reasons for going to the extra maths class.
Got to go into the city today as the youngest 2 have an opticians appointment. I can also do a few jobs and may visit the Lakeland store as there are a few bits in there I need, must stick to the list. It's raining as well, might clear up but not going to hold my breath.

Watch out for Lakeland, deadly to the wallet. They have so many things I didn't know I needed until I saw them :rotfl:
Well done for joining the gym, it's not something I like, but I'm full of admiration for those that go and workout.

Have been seriously naughty. I've managed to purchase a dress, wrap and a fascinator for the sum of ......deep breath.........even deeper breath.........can't believe I spent so much...........really not fit to be let out on my own.... stop procrastinating.......110.00. Faints again.
Also took the chaps to Frankie and Bennys for lunch. Filled the car, few bits in Lakeland, did stick to list and that my friends was about it.

Think £110 was an absolute bargain especially if it will cover both events.0
