Think the washing machine has had enough, as its now not working! Typical, glorious sunshine and all the Scout stuff from the weekend to wash. I pay a monthly cover for my wm and dw as I can't get anybody to fix it and it makes life a bit easier. I'll have to give them a call tomorrow.

Met the fossils at the workshop last night to give them a guided tour. Going to go in to the borders today and visit Kelso and probably Floors Castle. I've made a picnic, just got to get everybody up and extra child is being collected.

Went to a beacon lighting last night. DS1 had built the fire as it was on the farm he works at. I was bit disappointed as I was expecting something from off the Lord of the Rings, apart from some smoke in the distance and a few fireworks we couldn't really see any others.

I had the same experience at our local beacon lighting. We couldn't see any hint of any other beacon.

Have a lovely time in the borders. I used to have an aunt in Kelso, I loved visiting her - beautiful town and countryside.

Had a good day yesterday and then went out for a meal. Fossils are now heading back down south. OH is very stressed, as the workshop is exceedingly busy (which is good).

Have managed to get the wm repair booked in for Tuesday, so I've had to change my day off as its an all day appointment. Should just about manage for clothes, going to be busy when its mended.

I had to buy a new washing machine a few months ago. I bought the cheapest one I could find. The 40 degree cycle takes about four hours! I kept going to see if the washing had finished and it never had! Now I only use the quick wash program - half an hour...
