Had a great weekend, biccis for those that reach the end. Friday night took the resident house dog and puppy for a walk down the lane, walked under the first tree and could hear what I thought was lots of flapping, a bit like a pigeon taking off, so stood and looked up for a bit then got bored and carried on. As I walked a couple of feet up the lane a crack sounded and a branch fell off the tree snapping the telephone line, I stood with mouth agape as this wire came snaking towards me, rooted to the spot as I thought I was going to get whipped across the face. The puppy was clinging to my legs and resident house dog couldn't see what all the fuss was about.

Went to a friends Friday night and she reported the phone off which got fixed Saturday afternoon, its only temporary (sp) as they need to bring a cherry picker to remove another branch and fix the pole. My sister, bil and niece arrived ok and they've given us loads of ideas to move the business forward. Thinking about finishing early tomorrow to go and brainstorm in the workshop.

DS2 has now got 6 turkeys, OH spent yesterday morning building the pen. Gosh, they aren't the prettiest of birds, but they seem to have settled in ok. When they went to collect them, I went and foraged for blackberrys, got nearly a bucket full so well chuffed with that. Sister gave me a load of apples so will have a go at stewing them in the slow cooker. Yum yum. Meal went ok children well chuffed I made sticky toffee pudding. Its ok, not my favourite. Also paid £300 off the chosen cc. Well done if you got this far.
