DD1 not sure, only a small % are girls and she isn't a girly girl IYKWIM. Our thoughts, great opportunity but if she is clever enough/focused to go for that she would be ok at the 'normal' school. Cost plays a part as well and the logistics of getting her to the bus for 7.30 and collecting would be awkward to say the least.
OHs car is in for its MOT tomorrow. Fingers crossed it passes though I do have my doubts. My car is due in March and just noticed that OHs insurance needs renewing in April.

Have just over a week to make the decision. OHs car has passed its test only needed a little bit of work doing and came in under £90 including the test. Need to save up for my car now. Something has happened to the aerial as none of our tvs are working. It has made for a long night.
DS1 is now the proud owner of 2 ferrets christened Itchy and Scratchy for now. Managed to pay another £100 off Amex and maybe some more on Friday.

Tough decision re school. I do agree if she is that clever and motivated she will do well at state school anyway - My children are in state school but I think if there were offered a 60% bursary I would be tempted in the private school direction mainly due to the networking opportunities it could offer...

2) £2.6K Net savings after CCs 10/10/25
3) Mortgage neutral by 06/30 (AVC £27.9K + Lump Sums DB £4.6K + (25% of SIPP 1.25K) = 34/£127.5K target 26.6% 10/10/25
(If took bigger lump sum = 60.35K or 47.6%)
4) FI Age 60 income target £17.1/30K 57% (if mortgage and debts repaid - need more otherwise) (If bigger lump sum £15.8/30K 52.67%)
5) SIPP £5K updated 10/10/250 -
OH has saved the day and got the tvs working. Think we might have to get a new booster. School still not sure. Paid £160 off the debt today. Very slowly going down. Pay day for me next week. Looking forward to that.
Had a riding lesson yesterday and doesn't my butt know it today! I have to be honest and say my confidence with my horse has been knocked recently and if I can't conquer it there is no point keeping him. I enjoyed the lesson and the instructor was surprised how confident I was, however this horse hasn't done anything to frighten me so will have to wait and see. Have booked another lesson for next week. Hoping to take a couple of days off in a weeks time.
