Know what you mean re the house. I began tidying the office yesterday and today on the desk are; 1 cup cold coffe, 1 lidl leaflet, 1 pack xmas cards with list, 2 pens and scraps of paper, 1 broken moneybox awaiting superglue, 2 watches awaiting batteries, sellotape etc etc. See what happens when you ask 2 boys to tidy their rooms!!!:rotfl:
Need to sort that out and go see if they have really tidied!!!
Will get off and make some lasagne for tea now, and soak ham for sarnies on Monday, (See were thinking of monday already) groan:eek:

Still feel a bit snuffly but a lot better. Sisiter and family have departed to drop their daughter at uni. Lovely day here so washing on the line. House is positively gleaming, how long can we keep it like this? Could we manage until Christmas? Its a challenge. Right going to blitz DD1 at Cluedo.

Had a big long chat with sis and BIL, they have asked us to think about buying a property between us. They are aware of our financial circumstances and have been thinking about this for a while. It has given us a focus and plenty of food for thought.

That's an interesting proposal, Lucielle. Would this be for you to live in, or them, or both, or neither? What's your initial reaction?

It would be for us to live in and contribute (what we feel able) towards the mortgage and if we ever sold up it would be split on a pro rata basis against the amount we paid. We would be responsible for all the maintenance and repairs. It has certainly got us fuelled up. It would give us a step onto the property ladder and miss out a bit of the chain.

That sounds as though it deserves serious consideration then!

Well done on the gleaming house - I am aiming to get mine to that state before the end of the month......but like you, by the time I get home from work, and have done the dinner, run the kids around etc etc, I am shattered. I have signed up to flylady (again!) on Old Style to see if that will help me in my quest!

Have a good week, and I hope the snuffles subside soon x
