Grease stain on car seat
Hello peoples There was a small "incident" in my car involving melted cheese, which resulted in quite a bit of the "cheese-fat" (I'm fairly certain there is no such word, but I don't know what to call it) leaking over the passenger seat. The cover is not removable. Does anyone know how to treat such a grease-stain? The…

Use for frozen sponge cake
I've had some bits of frozen sponge cake sitting in my freezer for quite a while now, left over from making a layered sponge bday cake. Anyone have any idea of what I could use it for rather than just throwing it away? Trying to not waste but when I froze it I didn't know what I could do with it! I'm going to be emptying…

Forgotten sandwiches again!
Usually I am very good at remembering to make sandwiches and taking them to work but this morning I forgot. Really annoyed as I had to go to the cafe near where I work to get something. Expensive and no better than my usual sandwiches. I do usually keep a packet of oatcakes at work for the occasional missing sandwich…

Does anyone still knit?
I'm just wondering if anyone here still knits. When did ready meals become commonplace?
With all the stories in the news about what we should and shouldn't be eating, and hidden fats, sugars, salt etc; I'm wondering when ready meals took off? I was born in 1973 and we already had a local Bejam (like Iceland) back then. We probably had made from scratch meals like lasagne, spag Bol and a roast for half the…
