Gutted there's no Glastonbury? You can still (sort of) go for FREE – MSE Team Blog discussion
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there'll be no Glastonbury this year. While the UK's biggest music festival periodically takes a break to allow the land it takes place on to recover, this year is the first time it's been cancelled since 2001 – and on its 50th anniversary too. Bummer. But don't feel too bummed! Many of the…

Live music to stream online under lockdown – MSE Team Blog discussion
While coronavirus lockdown measures are slowly being eased across the UK (for more on that, see our Life-in-Lockdown Help guide), sadly for music fans it's still likely to be some time until we can congregate in bars, clubs, arenas and fields to see artists and bands perform. But thanks to the wonders of technology, that…

MP3's on a USB stick
Hi, Why is it that when I put music albums on a usb stick and play it in the car the tracks play in alphabetical order instead of how an album should play, track 1, track 2, etc? I kept them in the original folder as I ripped them, so I'm puzzled as to why the car stereo doesnt recognize this. Any help will be appreciated

Replacement for MP3 player
Not sure if I'm on the right board or not. I have a couple of 14 year-old MP3 players (Creative MuVo) that I only use when out running. Both seem to be coming to the end of their useful life (14 years isn't bad). I need to replace them but I've no idea what to look for (I'm a very low-tech person). The two MuVos are…

Cassette Tapes - Vinyl Records - Video Tapes
You see lots of posts on Ebay, Gumtree, Preloved for these items but do they really sell? I have loads of these belonging to my late father and am wondering whether to just take the lot to the tip or try to sell them? Posting to sell on line is just so time consuming - what are people's thoughts please?

Song I cannot find
I had an old tape recorder with songs from the 60s recorded when I was young. There has been one tune that I have been trying to find for years but no luck. I believe this particular song was from 67-69. I have tried typing in the lyrics but no results were found. I'm wondering if there are any readers my age, mid 60s that…

Question about acoustics at the London O2 arena
Morning all, I am hoping to get a ticket tomorrow (Friday) for my first music gig at the above venue to see Bjork in November. However, I am very wary that certain venues have very poor acoustics. Looking at old posts on these forums and elsewhere this seems true for the O2 as well. Obviously sound quality can vary too…

Spotify problem.
I've been using free Spotify for about 18 months and up to a week or so ago I would have said it was excellent. However, recently it's intermittently stopped working as one piece of music comes to an end but the next piece of music doesn't start. I'm not sure if it's something to do with the last update (version…
