Debt Free Direct Ltd IVA and Aperture IVA
Hi there! Wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar to this?? I have received a letter from Aperture IVA regarding an IVA I had a couple of years ago with Debt Free Direct Limited, which must have been finalised a good 5 or 6 years ago. They acquired DFD in Sept 2017 and apparently after reviewing all of…

Can I get a mortgage after my IVA
I took out an IVA in Jan 2015, I paid off the IVA in April 2017. I believe this will no longer be on my credit file come Jan 21? 6 years I'm desperate to get a mortgage so my ex doesn't sell my home, I've been told the lending market will open up to me after the 6 years (Jan 21) and I won't pay a premium for borrowing. Is…

"I have no history of bad debt"
Due to some ill-advised decisions and a small problem with impulse control, I got myself into a fair amount of debt and rather deep hole in my youth. Thanks to the help of this board, I entered into an IVA in 2000 and completed the IVA in 2007. I left the country to work abroad in 2011 and I am looking to return to the UK…

Car finance just cleared. Now the IVA folks want that value on top of the usual monthly amount.
I financed a car at £150 per month prior to setting up my IVA. I'm now three years in and the car finance is settled. My monthly IVA payment is £200. The latest payment went up to £350 and was debited from my account the month after the finance was settled. Is there anyway to negotiate this back down with my IVA…

Difference DRO and bankruptcy
What are the advantages of choosing a DRO over bankruptcy? i know bankruptcy is several hundred pounds and DRO is less than a £100 but the DRO sounds much harder. with bankruptcy you don’t have to get all your debts listed, it doesn’t matter if you left one out. But DRO if you forgot to list one then you still owe it?…

IVA advice required
Back in 2014 I entered into a selling IVA with StepChange, which was completed in June 2015 when we sold our house, and I used my side of funds and paid this direct to StepChange. Fast forward 5 years, and it it now clear that a substantial amount of this fund never reached a unsecured loan that we had with NRAM. Heliodor…
