ISA interest rates
Am I missing something or are cash ISAs a bit of a con? I am currently deliberating whether to invest my money into a standard savings account or an ISA. You would think that the option of tax free interest would be a no brainer, but a quick search of the top rates lists show that I can get a standard savings account…

Applied for natwest E-isa, forgot about it!
Hi, I applied a month ago for a e-isa with natwest, they sent me out all the forms, which I promptly ignored (procrastinate? me? never! :o ) Now they say if they haven't received them back in 1month I would need to reapply. My question is, as I am actually not going to have the money available as I planned because of home…

Possibility (and Charge?) for Transferring a Northern Rock Fixed Rate Cash ISA?
I just noticed it's not possible to make any further deposit in my current Fixed Rate Cash ISA because the issue has been withdrawn. It was opened in tax year 2008-09. Does anybody know whether it is possible to transfer a Fixed Rate Cash ISA prior to maturity? If so, how much is charged to allow the transfer towards…

Transfering ISA from last year
I decided to transfer last year's ISA to the NatWest E-ISA this year. As Martin explained you have to have a current account opened aswell. However, be warned you don't just apply online to have all the appropriate accounts set up, they all have to be done separately, one after the other. 1 Apply for current account 2.…

ING - changes to ISA - advice?
Can anyone explain why ING have 'frozen' ISA accounts? Why do I need to open another ISA with the same company for 09/10? I assume this is a way of restricting returns in some way? Any advice would be appreciated. I'd also be interested to hear general thoughts on ING and whether I'd be better off elsewhere. Thanks.

Pensioners tax free savings?
Hope this isn't a stupid question..... I'm moving 15k of my mums money into some other savings account - currently in Pensioners bonds which are about to mature and have been discontinued. As it says really. I have opened a Natwest eISA and want to transfer my Natwest branch based cash ISA into it. Is it as simple as filling out a ISA transfer form and sending it to Natwest. Not investing in cash isa - yet.....
I've opened the First Direct 3.1 1 year fix to transfer all my existing ISA's into because of the no penalty withdrawals in the hope (like everyone else) that rates will improve later in the year and will transfer again if its worth it. Was going to put my current years allowance in as well, but , given the current…

Can't open Abbey Reward ISA online
I have tried twice to open an Abbey Reward ISA online. After submitting your details you get an application number and are told to wait for an email with further instructions. That email never arrived so I called Abbey. They didn't recognise the application number so could not help. I went through the online process again…
