Wood Chip Removal
What's the best way to remove wood chip? I know I shouldn't touch it but it's starting to peel in certain places. I really shouldn't touch it because I can see a very bumpy wall underneath, however it will take me too much time to cover it. The previous owners had interesting tastes - bright yellow and blue silk painted…

Another Boiler Question, sorry!
My boiler works fine so I'm a bit loathed to replace it but it's a 'back boiler' that's (obviousley?) behind my livingroom gas fire. My problem is that the fire is hideous and the only alternative that will work with my boiler is a 'caravan' type of fire. (council jobby and they wouldn't spend the money to do it right!)…

Cavity Wall Insulation - can I get it free?
I'm looking at getting cavity wall insulation as it's a bit nippy this winter! I know you can get this quite cheaply nowadays, e.g. Scottish Power. Does anyone know if I can get it free, for example by using a grant of some kind? I am not on benefits so that would rule that one out! Cheers!
