Workers demotivated by executives' high pay
http://www.theguardian.com/business/2015/dec/18/workers-demotivated-by-executives-high-pay-survey Strange concept if you ask me. During my 35+ years career, I have not once thought about what others (including my superiors) earn. Not once. None of my business and I couldn't care less. My motivation came out of job…

Tax credits / USC - Pretty big loss to the economy
After repeatedly insisting that the move to Universal Credit will not see people on in work benefits lose money, Iain Duncan Smoth has today stated that admitted that people will lose money. House Prices to Jump 50%....
This is the big one.... House prices are set to rise by 50% over the next 10 years with property values in London nearly doubling, a report predicts. Why are so many British homes empty?
Hundreds of thousands of homes across the UK are unoccupied, despite widespread concern about a housing shortage. Why would someone own a property and leave it vacant? The Bezier building stands right in the middle of London's Old Street area, one of the most expensive and fashionable parts of the UK. Flats inside the…

London house prices set to double in 10 years
Looks like yearly 7% HPI will be happening in London for a very long time. http://uk.businessinsider.com/latest-uk-and-london-house-price-data-2015-12 I think I'm right in saying which point London prices will be close to 4x elsewhere. If you move out just be prepared to never come back.

Improving chance of selling
Hi We, like lots of people, are trying to sell our 2 bedroomed house in a rural village in Wales. We asked the estate agent why he thinks it hasn't sold and were advised to knock £7000 off the asking price. Another estate agent we were first with valued it at £20,000 above our current asking price (so in effect we have…

BOE to get new regulatory powers over BTL
Surprised to see this hasn't been posted up already. Maybe it's best not mentioned!? Some seem to be suggesting we could be seeing BTL borrowers having to show that the rental income will be 150% of the mortgage. We could also see the minimum deposit raised to 40%. Fantastic if it works.…

Deflation Watch pt 152
M4 money supply figures were released by the Bank of England last Friday and they make for pretty grim reading IMO. [Bank of England's bolding of text] Inflation is not the enemy right now IMO. The BoE should and I think will keep interest rates low for some time yet and restart QE. Even that I fear will not be enough.
