Missing letters when I type
As above - I can barely get through a word without having to fill in the letters. Yes the keyboard is completely clean and I don't eat when sat at it. Funnily enough, when I type in a www. address in the Search box it never misses letters. Do I need a new keyboard or is there something I can do to fix it? This only started…

Norton Internet Security 21 - install over top, or uninstall old version?
Hi, Our 3 PC 1 year licence copy of NIS 2013 is due to expire tomorrow. We always just buy a new DVD instead of paying Norton's daft renewal price. So, we now have NIS v21 from Amazon (only £22), but have read that you don't have to uninstall the old version or even install this new one off the DVD, you simply enter the…

Flashslider
I inherited the works website to edit a few years ago. While I can manage to edit the HTML code I'm struggling to edit pre-existing swf files which were created in Flashslider. I've used this programme in the past to create new swf files but it simply won't recognise pre-existing ones. The website Flashslider used to have…

Using external keyboard with a laptop?
Hi, The keyboard on my laptop is not the best for fast typing. I have an old keyboard which used to belong to a desktop PC - would it be possible to use this with the laptop? If so, how would I get the laptop to recognise it? Also wondering the same thing re the mouse - because the laptop has a flat panel style and it is…

Confused - is it safe to remove August's KB2982791 (MS14-045)?
Luckily I didn't get the BSOD, but the fonts on a couple of sites are different, so should I follow Microsoft's instructions and remove KB2982791 and replace it with KB2993651, if it's available? I'm not a techie, but a commentator on PCWorld.com [US] states the removal worsens everything. I currently have 12 September…

Hi all, We live in a new area with shocking internet speed, on a good day it is 2mb, but often it drops to an unusable crawl. Worse is that, with a smart TV, tablet, set top box, xbox and two phone sharing this connection, it makes for a challenge to do anything online if ore than one is using it at the same time. So far I…

Best budget laptop for Minecraft
My 9 year old son has been saving up for a new laptop to play Minecraft on, search internet, download music on etc. I imagine he will need to use it for homework as well in a couple of years. He has a budget of £300-400 and I wondered if anyone could recommend one that fits his requirements. Thanks in advance.
