Student On JSA
Hi, I understand that full time students are not allowed to claim JSA, however I am unsure about part time. What if a person attends college or university or a distant learning course less than 15 hours per week? Are they entitled to JSA? Will they also receive a bursary from the national funding body as well? Thanks.

Specsavers advice needed
Hi, I recently bought some Specsavers glasses. If you buy frames costing over £69, you get 25% student discount. You are allowed to change your frames if you are not happy with them. I bought £45 frames with £90 lenses so I did not receive the student discount. I then exchanged the frames for £69 ones, and when the SA…

This year's SLC interest rate
The RPI graph is not looking good. http://www.statistics.gov.uk/cci/nugget.asp?ID=19 I can't see it being any lower in March, if anything it looks like the SLC rate (for pre-1998 borrowers at least) may be the highest ever this year. I can imagine that come September, the disparity between pre-98 and post-98 loan rates…
