student a/cs for foundation diploma students
A lot of the student accounts seem to exclude non-degree course students. My daughter is starting a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design - a one year course at a university - before going on to do a degree course. Any ideas of banks that might be open to her?

TV licence for student halls?
My daughter is off this weekend to share a 5-bed flat in student halls. Obviously she wants to take a small TV but I have just been told that each individual needs a TV licence!!! With several hundred students in one building, this seems a bit unfair. Is there any way round this? Elizabeth 739

First Direct - a student bank?
Seemed a bit odd to me that Martin included First Direct (my bank who I'd heartily recommend to anyone, and do) in the student account charts. As far as I know, First Direct aren't a student bank and don't market themselves as one - go to HSBC for that - so it seems a bit silly to include them on there. Might aswell have…
