I have about 4000 sterling, but currently living in Dublin Ireland. Should I keep the cash in sterling or deposit money into 3% interest savings account but in which I will probably loose on the exchange rate...not quite sure what to do, any advice would be great thanks:)

Savings - parental control over 18
Is there any way a parent can store a child's investment until they are 21. My child will be 18 next year but has 20,000 their grandmother left them. If they got their hands on this sort of money at 18, it would be a disaster. Thanks
