2nd ISA on my wifes name
Hi I have a ISA on my name at the moment, and I am looking to get a 2n d ISA on my wifes name, which I think is perfectly normal thing to do. When I max out my ISA quota in a year I would put the rest of my savings into my wifes ISA. Is this all perfectly legal?

The Game Group Shares (GMG.LSE)
Last time I talked about a share on here, Premier Foods (PFD.LSE), some people took my tip and made a profit. (Warning - I'm not an expert). It was risky and I wasn't advising anyone, just wanting feedback. I actually sold these too early compared to what the price is at now :( http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-17336697…

We have no branch, so looking at it the only other option is post. So i get that you'll have to open it with a cheque - via post. Question is, once it's open, can you just credit it via online banking (just send the monthly payment to the Saffron account by using sort code & account number) or do you always need to send in…

No contact with sister since becoming executor of mothers will
Sorry if in wrong place but this forum title seemed closest to my question. My mother passed away in September 2011 and she made my sister the executor of her will. After funeral expenSes her assets were to be split evenly among her three children- myself, my brother and my sister. I know this because she showed me her…

Who buys back funds?
Hello, I have a self-invest stocks&shares ISA and have managed to get good returns - mostly by buying and selling when I got the returns I expected, then buying again etc.. I started investing more money and there is a fundamental question I never considered really: who buys the funds when you want to sell? I like to…

No interest on cash investment
I have invested £170000 with a discretionary management service over the last 2 years. Surplus income - rethinking investing and considering term deposit instead?
Hi all, I posted a thread a few days ago asking for thoughts on how I could make the most of my savings/surplus income (£1500 mth) now my mortgage is paid off. Money locked in Bond
Hi there, Long time reader, first time poster. I recently put a big chunk of money into a 5.5 year bond with Santander (some of the proceeds of the sale of my house). I'd been intending to emigrate to the US to be with my wife. She decided instead to ask for a divorce, so I'm still here in the UK. I'm now apparently unable…

How does inflation affect shares?
I keep reading that inflation is erroding the value of cash savings because bank accounts pay interest rates that are lower than inflation. What about the stockmarket then? How are shares affected by inflation? If I had say, £5000 to invest, would it be better protected from inflation if I put it into my FTSE All-Share…
