Where to put a lump sum for 6 months?
We've sold our house and about to move into a rented house temporarily for about 6 months. We'll have about £140,000 to put somewhere - ideally with monthly interest that will help offset our rent. Even better if the interest can be paid into another account (e.g. our current account). If the right house to purchase comes…

Is the cash withdraw limit e.g. £300.00 really the limit?
Hello, Something interesting I was told by a Llyods remember of staff: You can in effect double the limit. If you withdraw money over the counter e.g. £300.00 then you can also withdraw another £300.00 from the ATM machine, as they work on a different counter system? All within the same day. Anyone heard about this? Also…

Investment in 'yellowcake'?
No, it's not something from McVities, 'yellowcake' is the base for enriched uranium fuel for nuclear reactors. As we pass peak oil, nuclear looks to be the only way of keeping the lights on in the West unless we all want to go back to knitting our own yoghurt. The price has had a multi-year bull run, fallen back a bit now…

Northern Rock EGM - Decision Time
Have others with Northern Rock shares found it incredibly difficult to decide whether to back the board or the hedge funds in the forthcoming EGM?
