Tax rebate for tax paid on interest when unemployed??
Hello eveyone, Do you know how far back you can get a tax rebate from? Is there an expiry period? Before I was as money savvy as I am now I was paying tax on interest. I have all the statements from the account, Is there a way i can claim this back now? Thank you

Ice save drip feed
Hi. Anyone know how you can drip feed from an icesave easy access account into a regular saver account without going through your nominated account. In my case it's my current account and don't want to have to keep switching my money first to my current account then to my regular saver. Thanks Alex

Advice for my Dad...
Hi all, My Dad has got about £180k in cash savings from the sale of his flat last year. He is currently living with his partner and plans to buy a house in the next year or two (or he may just stay put, he's not the best decision maker  ). Anyway, he had all his money with Northern Rock and after all this time…

Smile are not what they once were IMHO
Like all the others Smile started out lovely with all the promises but how things have changed IMHO, just look at the interest rate figures below -: Notice how well they started out with decent rates and increases when BOE went up but in the past few years the only time they moved was when rates went down! They have…

Euro to sterling-large sum of money-how to do it, where to save it?
a family member is selling their house in Ireland and want to move here (England). Once they have sold in Ireland they will take their time to buy a property in England. 75000 - ING or ICESAVE or ICICI
Folks I've now got £75000 in my ING web saver account which I think pays about 5.4%. I take monthly interest from this. I'm a basic rate taxpayer. If I were to transfer this to a ICICI or an ICESAVE account, what could I expect monthly ? I'm a bit of a thicko at interest calcs. Are ICICI safe ? Cheers Jessmjc

BOE rates today 10/1/08 ?
So, whats the predictions MSEers? Down quarter percent more - first back to back drop in 6 years OR maintain it at 5.5%. I doubt they will be an increase, sadly! Cast your votes, ladies and gentlemen!

Close Derbyshire Reg Saver or not?
I have 2 Derbyshire reg saver accounts. I wish to withdraw money and am considering closing them. Is it worth keeping them open with a bit in and paying in the min amount each month. I don't know much about this carpet bagging (if they convert to a bank I get paid?) thing but is this where it may come in useful. Would this…

Account interest - how to track??
Hi, Recently sold our house and moved into rented accomodation, whilst waiting for the right house to come along.
