Icesave: £20k richer??
Hi all I pulled £21750 from my Halifax web saver to my Icesave account on Monday via direct debit. The system asked me what date I wanted it to "affect" my Icesave account. Earliest option I could take was Wednesday 15th. Lo and behold, the money arrived in my Icesave account on the 15th. Checked my Halifax portfolio…

He wants a bank card to access his money and a dd to pay some savings into. Any ideas? Many thanks t

Preference to 'new' customers
Further to another thread. Are institutions still 'allowed' to offer preferential terms to 'new' customers (as opposed to existing customers)? Is there nothing in the Banking Code, or similar, about this? I suspect there is, but the institutions get round it by rule 'bending' or semantic arguments.

Icesave (Landsbanki) to new to invest?
Just opened a savings account with Icesave but before depositing any cash i researched Landsbanki - it looks as though it has only been registered in the UK since July of last year, even though it is established in Iceland. Not sure if it is good to invest if this is true. I know if they close your capital is guaranteed…

**Delisted shares, and Administration!!! HELP!!!**
Hi, I bought £1200 of Actif Group plc shares who went into administration about three months ago. I contacted the administrators, and they say that DB Actif, and Actif Retail, have been put into administration, and not Actif Group PLC. They gave me an address for correspondance, and a telephone number. I gave it a call,…

Character Group CCT
I invested in this from 46.5p up to 73.9p. It's shot up recently but I think it's still well undervalued. I've made about £20K on these on the rise in the last week but I think £1.50 is nearer the mark. Anyone care to comment?

Effective savings for my child
I've read some of the main threads on here about childrens savings accounts and quite frankly it seems a total minefield to me. Seems I can't put more than about £1850 into the top payer savings account for my child without tax being charged on the interest. If I put in £100 a month that's less than 2 years! Not sure if…
