F.T.S.E. 100 on the slide?
Since the start of trading yesterday to 15 minutes ago over 120 points has been knocked off the F.T.S.E. 100 Prior to this the FTSE had been performing very well and within the last week it reached it's highest level for a few years. Can any budding market experts out there tell me whether they think this is a short-term…

Loyalty?
Does loyalty to a particular bank get rewarded any more these days? (That's assuming it ever did in the first place...) I have had savings accounts with Halifax since I was part of the Little Xtra Club many moons ago but they're not paying me fantastic interest so have moved some of the money to B&B (after all they sponsor…

I called Abbey today to see when my fixed rate saver matures... it already has (sneaky, been moved onto 4.75% i think she said (but i knew about that anyway)) so theres another £1,373.26. What do…

B&B eSavings 2 interest error
Bradford & Bingley paid me interest on my "eSavings 2" account for only 29 instead of 30 days in September. I'm guesing they paid zero interest the day they changed the interest rate. They replied quite quickly to my email and have corrected it in the form of an extra line of "Bonus Interest" on my statment. Just in case…

ICICI Rate Reduction 1st November
Can't see it mentioned anywhere yet. ICICI appear to be gearing up for a rate reduction to 5.15% with effect from 1st November. Was Googled about it this morning. This 5.40% for the foreseeable future that they mentioned might suggest a little short sightedness don't you think?!?!?! Anybody else heard anything yet?

I put in £3000 in this account which pays 4.75% gross and about 3.74ish% net, now it says at the end of the month we will pay your interest if you haven't made a withdrawal, OK, I don't withdraw...the gross is subject to 20% tax and I am on fairly low wages (I am a student!!!), how much interest should I get at the end of…
