Comparison sites vs Snowballs in Summer?
Last time, several months back, most wanted an analysis of calls made over a period, so that the best schemes from providers could be suggested, Now AFAICS most, if not sll, ask you to decide what you want, standard, wkend, eve/wkend, all inclusive, at the outset. How are you expected to know at that stage what you should…

Postoffice home phone
I am with the Post Office home phone service, and I find it excellent. However, when I tried to get my father in law (aged 84) to join from Virgin Media, I was quoted £110 just to get the landline converted from cable, connected back at the the source, (the telegraph pole). What a bloody cheek!! How does anyone ever leave…

Is this a scam?
Hi, I'm a bit worried about a call I received earlier today and I wondered if anyone could shed any light on it. I had a call, obviously from India, from someone who said they understood I didn't like receiving sales or marketing calls. I am registered with the TPS, so I said that was correct. They said the UK Government…

Home phone call connection costs
I have been using the callchecker feature and various well researched pieces on home phone providers, among others. However I feel they have missed an important detail in the phone comparisons, particularly with regard to the international calls. This is the issue of call connection fees. Working from home....
Bit of an odd one - I'm soon to be receiving incoming calls for 40/45 minute telephone convos (not dodgy ones! :rotfl:) as part of my business. I'll be getting paid for this :j - but by a 3rd party, not the caller. Is there any way - sort of like via a switchboard or conference call type set up - that the caller can ring a…
