Hiya A bit of advice really. I am a first time cat owner and have a female cat whos about 3 and not been spayed. Shes really lively, lovely looking fur, sparkly eyes, plays etc, but shes an indoor cat as oppose to going outside. Now once a day, usually at night, she throws up. Not a huge amount, not continously, but a…

Cats - I need help
I am the only person in the street of 9 houses without a cat (I am allergic to them so cannot get one). So why is it that the cats only sh*t in my garden? I have threatened the owners with a letter saying the next time their cat sh*ts in my garden I will return the sh*t through their letter box. This idea has created a…

Sturdy Fabric Cat Carrier?
Anyone know where I could find a good cat carrier? I had one of those giant plastic ones, it weighed a ton and was a pain to take on the bus, but unfortunately Teddy the kitten managed to squeeze through the gap between the door and the top and broke the hinges. She's not used to traveling yet, and she's rather strong for…

Demodex Mites
Hi All, My wee dog has been diagnosed with a possible allergy but the vet says it is probably demodex, although she wants to give her a week on the antibiotics first before going down the skin scrape route. Does anyone have any suggestions about stuff we can start at home which might help her in the meantime? I read about…

I'm a tad sad though, my 5 month old baby (although she's a 3 stone baby) is becoming all grown up. Bless her...she's doing so well with it.…

Daft question re cat "presents"
What do you do with "presents" brought to you by your cat(s)? Mine went through a phase of bringing in mice and rats, which went straight into the wheelie bin. Now I cant get rid of the stench of them from it. Its collected every 2 weeks, whereas the food bin is collected once a week. My friend reckons I should put them in…

Friend and her dog got attacked by a dog out walking, what to do?
My friend was out with her own dog, on a lead, when a 'staffy' type (unsure of exactly what breed, but that type) attacked her dog and when my friend tried to save her dog, she got attacked also. My friend needed stitches and went to A and E, the dog needed stitches and a GA to deal with the injuries. My friend appears to…

I have an appointment for the vets on Tuesday but wondered if anyone has had experience of hairballs in cats? I think that is the problem, it started off when my cat started peeing on the bed and I presume for attention as she hasn't got an infection (lots of wee and non smelly) and I was in it at the time:eek: But she is…
