DCB Legal Claim letter September 21
Hi All, I was hoping to never have to drudge through this all again, unfortunately it wasn't meant to be. I have a claim form and claim number so it's gone legal and I need some help. Based on posts in the DCBL Letters thread I'm starting my own thread. Some background that probably doesn't change much * PCN is from 2016,…

Manchester Waters - Permit Issue
My son took on a new flat and didnt get his parking permit when the letting agent gave him his keys (waiting on new ones or similar such story). The letting agent also didnt put his reg into their database. We have got both those things corrected now. Vehicle Control Services then sent him 7 PCN's. The letting agent has…

McDonald's MET parking demand
A demand from MET Parking Services for staying in excess of 90 minutes in a McDonald's car park was received on Friday. What follows is my experience so far. Having read the helpful 'newbie' threads and the experiences of others, I followed the advice and visited the premises yesterday. I asked to speak to the manager. As…

Smart Parking (Cst law) letter before claim.... some questions, possible problems!
I've read the "Newbies" stickie & other threads RE: CST Law but I'm not sure where I stand with this, I only found out about it 3-4 days ago. My brother in law got a postal PCN back in October last year for "Insufficient time paid" he believed that disabled parking was free (didn't read any signs) &, being a total…

I have sold the car and moved...do I tell update Indigo and QDR/zzps?
Hi, apologies I can't find an answer to this. I have PCN's dating back 3-4 years now. I have been through a lot to try and get Indigo to just let me pay for the original PCN's of £20 instead of the £128 after the debt collectors (zzps and QDR) both added their 'admin fees'. Initially Indigo responded and said yes that's…

2 car parks!
I parked and paid by phone app last Friday. Yesterday received a parking charge with photos. Turns out this area is 2 car parks and I paid for the wrong one. I have proof that I paid. There is a sign stating that it’s no longer an “Iceland” car park. I just assumed it was all one car park. £100 or £60 if paid…

PCS (Parking Collection Services) Challenge
Hi, I got a parking ticket from PCS (Parking Collection Services). Unfortunately I didn't challenge the windscreen notice and was sent Notice to Keeper. I live at the address and have a valid parking permit, but at that day I forgot to display it. I am going to challenge by using the "TEMPLATE ''ONE SIZE FITS ALL'' FIRST…

Was registered keeper at time of PPN but not now... what to do
Coincidentally a relative has got a PPN resurrected from 2016 just like us.....except in this case he was the RK in 2016 but is not now. Should he write to parking company to say his personal data is incorrect and should be deleted? Is this a help or a hindrance in fighting the case? Any help gratefully received.

Dcbl letter before claim stage
Hi all, I have received 6 pcns through the post from around 5 years ago (not 6) from dcbl on behalf of ukpl. One letter has 5 on and the total is £800 and the other has 1 on with a total of £160. So they’re asking for £160 per pcn. I have requested SAR and received the SAR back stating that two of the 6 pcns are repeats,…

Defence - District Enforcement
Good evening, I received the claim form from District Enforcement (Gladstones), just acknowledged the service and have a couple of questions. 1. Do I send my defence in straight away or is it better to wait? 2. The car park in question was always free to park, then the new parking charge was introduced. I parked there all…

Napier Parking - missed 1st letter
Today I've received a 'final reminder' letter from Napier Parking, with an amount outstanding for "£100", as my fixed charge notice had not been paid. They say if I don't pay within 14 days of the letter (which is actually in only a few days time!), that the fixed charge notice will increase to £160!! I had no knowledge of…

Popla appeal successful
Smart parking decided not to contest my parking charge appeal, so a success. It was on a 30p under pay, they wanted £65 initially, £90 if not payed within their time limit I followed the template letter, much appreciated all the advice on this forum. Definitely always worth having a go, and taking it to popla.

To PAY or NOT to PAY
At the end of the day you will have to decide if you are going to pay your parking charge notice or NOT. You may more than likely have appealed in the BPA Kangaroo court process and lost. So what next?? Well firstly the Advice from Citizens Advice is not to ignore the Parking Charge it will not go away, and you have no…

Barnet Hospital
Hi Please see below parking situation at Barnet. The current setup forces people who park their cars there to either a) pay in cash; or b) pay by app. Very few people carry coins today, including myself, so a) isn't a useful option for most. The app charges a 20p admin fee which in a £2 car park fee is 10% premium. I don't…

Help needed VCS no stopping fine
I received a ticket for not stopping at Bristol airport and sent a letter saying that 'as the registered owner I declined their invitation to pay the charge or name the driver'. I went on to say that as POFA only applied on relevant land and excludes land where there is statutory control (in this case local bylaws) keeper…

Parking Ticket Threats
I think this may have been covered several times before so please forgive me. My wife is an A&E doctor and has been receiving letters like the one I have attached for a few weeks now. She received the tickets earlier this year during the lockdowns when the hospital had to issue parking permits to temporary staff to cover…
