Barnet Hospital

Please see below parking situation at Barnet.
The current setup forces people who park their cars there to either a) pay in cash; or b) pay by app.
Very few people carry coins today, including myself, so a) isn't a useful option for most. The app charges a 20p admin fee which in a £2 car park fee is 10% premium.
I don't mind paying the £2 (well I do, but you know), but out of principle I am wondering what @Coupon-mad and others think of whether there's a case to not pay on this basis?
Thanks

If you knew the terms of the extra before you parked then you had the option to not enter a parking contract and leave.-1

@Terry1931 This is a hospital car park, the OP probably had an appointment.
Also, the hospital is an NHS Foundation Trust and should be adhering to the NHS Parking Principles.

Hang on that second machine has a sticker covering up the screen where your VRN is displayed, these machines have a habit of not registering digits correctly, how would you know?Paybyphone is a separate company to the Hospital, and Parking Eye they charge 20p handling fee unfortunately for their service not a reason to risk the might of Parking Eye's relentless onslaught. Those acient machines need scrapping.4

How long do you think is fair to allow a driver to drive in, find a space, park, gather what they need for their appointment and lock the car, walk to the nearest PDT machine, read the terms, try to pay by coins and/or download a new app, realise there is an issue, decide to park elsewhere and so walk back to their car and drive out?
And miss their appointment...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Update on this.:-
I've now done this three times. every time I go, while the machines continue to be out of service, I refuse to pay and simply preempt their fines by emailing them to tell them I won't be paying.
They email back confirming no ticket will be sent.1 -
